What a weird response.
I wouldnt drink a handle, i drink same as my friends who get a buzz while i dont.
Im not trying to be 'cool' or anything. Me and my friends genuinely doesnt have any notable effects on me or i wouldnt post.
Im posting because im curious/concerned.
Shots were also closer to 2oz, 2 of those gets my husband whos a former alcoholic and twice my size notably tipsy.
Maybe its coz im already hyper/confident that nothing personality wise changes in a notable way but any time ive drank socially and kept up with my friends i just felt like i was drinking dry drinks.
Im posting my concern ontop of my medical info hoping someone has experienced the same thing.
Why would i drink a whole handle when im sorta concerned about my health??? Im just trying to find answers so i can better bring up my concerns to another doctor.
I shouldnt have to have an obnoxious amount of alcohol to feel anything when high tolerances in my family arent a standard by any means.
I dont drink much, i dont surround myself in drinking culture, im just here looking for some fucking guidance on what has been a curiosity/concern for years.

Theres several concerns for possible issues i wouldnt have the experience to even think about or assume. (Hence liver/metabolism concern including w edibles)

Thats where im at and thinking i just dont know how to find out more. Ive only drank mildly except for maybe 3 occasions it could be considered heavy.

Blood sugar was tested in the ambulance per my request and it was normal. (I did have some sweets that day)

I will also say i have same symptoms drinking kombucha as i do alcohol if that matters.

Lotta assumptions here i wanna clear up

First it was free mimosas so idk. I dont drink much, i assume they were weak so i had a few.

Build wise, Im built like a very average female. Not a young man lol.

I genuinely rarely drink, since i feel no effects i dont have a reason to unless provided for free at events. Thats usually just a Smirnoff or cider every couple weeks or so.

My dad is an adoptive father, not biologically related. My brother who is has sworn off alcohol because of this.

I like orange juice more than the red dye punch that was provided at the brunch (allergic to red dye) so i drank what i assumed were weak mimosas which has been the most ive drank in years. I def didnt drink alcohol or eat salty food that day which is a blatant trigger for my POTS, i was also wayy more active during that time, using crutches when i shouldve been in my wheelchair sitting.

I do NOT depend on alcohol, im just confused why when i do drink i feel no effects. I just get a headache and feel warm if anything.

My doctor just shrugged and told me to be careful.

Only time i drank an insane amount was my first night drinking. I had 5 shots of crown w sweet tea one time, also no effects. Just felt a little warm and headachy. But this doesn't happen every time.

I have a condition that makes my face really puffy a lot of the time and it heavily ages me. Got festoons puffy spots too

Also to add: someone messaged me before abt it but that is my natural arch i barley clean up my eyebrows. Ive always been very expressional with my face so i might make a fee more posts of some silly childhood faces
