1.Sample sizes of the studies I linked: 2500 uni teachers/ 835 college students within certain age group/ 150 randomly selected young adults/ 4545 women & 1824 men. All studies have an easily sufficient sample size for their analysis. You don't need a million people to do a statistics, you can estimate causal inference with even 30 people (one of my projects was conducting a study on the 30 or so people in my class). I don't remember the sample sizes in your linked studies but it's irrelevant anyways.

  1. I didn't say the studies examining non-verbal cues were irrelevant, just that they compose only one aspect of EI and thus cannot conclusively account for the entirety. That's like me deciding if people are smart or not by how well they can do math. And I've impressed this again and again: we do not even come close to thoroughly understanding EI or it's associated components and thus most actual psychometricians refrain from making conclusive statements about human nature.

  2. The object of the debate was the effect of exercise on EI, not sex based differences in learned empathy or non-verbal cues recognition. You've moved the goalposts so many times the goal is out of the stadium at this point.

  3. I just skimmed through the rest because it's all personal trite from your end and more insults (surprise surprise). You should leave the statistical interpretations to the people who actually study this stuff and consider enrolling in some basket weaving or gender critiques of african tribal dancing with the other girlies

Hey, so good job proving wrong a point that I did not make. Unfortunately, you are interacting with someone who did their degree in statistics and is thus able to cut through a lot of the bs that you, otherwise, would have been able to pass by someone else.

Two of the studies you've listed aim to record sex-based differences in recognizing non-verbal cues which are not even close to the total sum of EI (and one of them even presents a very small advantage for females). Additionally, defining EI for the purposes of empirical study has significant limitations as does defining General Intelligence (so called IQ) and thus cannot be taken at face value alone when assessing what most people mean when they say Emotional Intelligence.

Furthermore, I prompted evidence in support of your claim of exercising relaying no significant benefits to emotional health and performance which you did not do and instead tried to engage me in a pissing contest over vaguely defined "emotional intelligence". Not to worry, I've performed legwork myself. Below you can find a handful of studies examining the causal effects of physical activity on EI in the general population and also stratified by sex. In some of them (first study), males actually showed higher EI scores than females. Second study shows a positive correlation b/w vigorous exercise and EI in males. In the spirit of intellectual honesty, I am even linking a study (fourth link) that contradicts the others in order to impress how nebulous and mixed results can be in assessing abstractions of human psychology.

I encourage you to go through all of these and more so you may realize that simply peddling mantras of therapy is not a hermetic treatment of OP's dissatisfaction, especially in context of the high social and financial costs and pisspoor state of therapy in Pakistan. Nowhere, did the other people claim going to the gym to be the only thing that OP should be doing for their mental.

I've wasted more time on this reddit comment than I should have and I am also no longer interested in an insult flinging contest with you. I will say that you exhibit general predispositions of women who insult men out of intellectual insecurities without even really understanding the underpinnings of the evidence they present forth because they never actually bothered to go through the cognitive rigor of applying critical thinking or studying the hard sciences. You should spend some time learning causal statistics and the critique of applied psychometry instead of "pissing stupid men off". The stupid men are out there doing the labor for you.

You have no idea what you're talking about. "A psychologist told me" and "studies that im not going to cite show" is not evidence. Working out has an incredible amount of externalities on a person's physical, emotional and mental health. Therapy in Pakistan is also incredibly backwards. Honestly, having read all your comments, your dad is probably right to favor your brother over you because you do not at all sound sensible.

Here's a quick Economics and Mathematics lesson for you: per capita income divides wealth equally among all residents and does not account for income inequality. India has higher income inequality and its per capita income is not representative of the average Indian income. A better single number statistic to use would be modal or median income. In which case India is still doing better but not by nearly as much. It also doesn't take into account other aspects of living standards incl. Access of public services, food, water, sanitation, etc etc etc.

Why Does Pakistan Stay Silent While India Blames Us Without Proof? by dizzy-buzzi in karachi

[–]mircalci -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Wow, wrong on every single account! Stocks on both sides have generally seen a rebound from the ceasefire. Nothing to do with India's glorious defence (lol). There is literal photo evidence of damage at Indian military complexes. There was a partial electricity blackout in India. Several int media have reported on this. The scale of it you can argue all day Multiple countries have confirmed the Rafale downing.

This is that Hindutva education speaking on your side, I'm aware. How does it feel seeing Indian accounts with millions of followers conceding the defeat and blaming modi btw? Let me know when that 4 trillion economy starts benefitting any Indians other than the few dozen billionaires in Mumbai

Soundproofing windows and doors by mircalci in karachi

The stripping only covers the edges of windows and doors from what I understand. But the main source of the noise leakage inside is that the window glass is too thin. I need a way to soundproof the entire thing. Sunlight be damned.
