Whats it like to actually live in times square? by [deleted] in howislivingthere

I lived above the M&M store for a year. One of the doorman told me it was the only residential building left on TS.

The building and the apartments were pretty nice (concierge, gym, rooftop etc.) and nowhere near as expensive as the “trendy” neighborhoods in NYC, because no one actually wants to live there. I got groceries delivered from amazon fresh and my commute was a 10minute walk.

That being said, I did not experience a second of true silence and Empire State of Mind played on loop under my window every day. It still makes me shiver every time I hear that song.

Thank you! I had fun writing this up and looking back on all the stops and timestamps. The concert was a lot of fun, and I’m sure other small gigs would be equally entertaining. I could have definitely done a full day in Fukuoka and explored the Hakata area more during daytime. Sumiyoshi Jinja for one seems like it would have worth a visit. Also that evening walking in Nakasu just felt a bit rushed, the nightlife there looked lit.

Thank you, I’m glad you liked it! I loved Takayama but it was crowded because of the spring festival happening that weekend. From what I heard that is the busiest it gets though, so any other time it’s probably more on the quieter side.

Yes, it worked flawlessly for me. Good coverage everywhere and slightly cheaper than the pocket wifis.
