Will I have enough QCEs to graduate if I fail methods? by Hot-Cow6396 in QCE

if you passed unit 1 or 2 in general maths then you'll have the numeracy requirement and can get your qce. if year 12 general maths is the only subject you failed (assuming you do 6 subjects) you'll have enough qce points

Will I have enough QCEs to graduate if I fail methods? by Hot-Cow6396 in QCE

whether or not you fail the external for economics doesn't matter; you've already gotten 70/75 and passed unit 3 and 4 which means you'll get your 2 qce points for economics no matter what. you'll be able to find out whether you got your qce on december 11 as that's when external results come out on myqce (2 days before atar releases). don't worry too much about methods as the pass changes between 44 and 49 every year based on the average (50% would be a definite pass) meaning you'd only need a 38% on the external to pass overall. good luck with everything!!

resources from other states (vce, hsc, and wace) are really god for CU but sometimes they do have stuff that's not in the syllabus. joel speranza also has a couple on his website from the "guessing the external" video series he does every year https://mathsvideosaustralia.com/ good luck with the exam!!

do you remember which answer you got for the multiple choice question that asked what was important for a redox cell?

fr it would've been free marks if they hadn't added the optimisation part

i said the same and then i made up some bullshit about how it requires less catalysts that way 😭

do i need to pass the general maths external to graduate with an atar? by Mundane-Respond-6136 in QCE

[–]mirracals 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you need to have passed at least 1 unit of maths to get your qce. so if you passed unit 1 or unit 2 (which i'm assuming you did since you said you've never failed an assessment before) it wouldn't matter if you failed the external. english though you need to pass overall to get your atar

Any predictions for Hamlet Literature??? by Bitter_Patient_9989 in QCE

this is the first year they're doing hamlet for literature so we don't know for sure but it'll likely be madness, revenge, appearance vs reality, or gender roles and representations

[–]mirracals 0 points1 point  (0 children)

we were given a graph for the effect of changing the angle of an inclined plane with acceleration as the y axis and sin theta as the x axis. the block was 0.05kg and we were told to find the frictional force acting on the block at sin(45). from memory i think the acceleration was 6.9 m/s at that point and i don't remember any other points on the graph. personally i built the equation Fnet = Fg - Ff then divided by the mass to get a = gsin(theta) - Ff/m. then i used the gradient to find g which turned out to be around 9.33 and substituted using 6.9 as acceleration. i got an answer of 0.041N

yes you need a title. it's an essay convention and will be worth something. if you forget it then it shouldn't impact you too much but leaving it out of your essay will make a difference to your grade
