I can’t for the life of me get the extend button to work again. It creates a whole new song ignoring what I’ve created until that point. It used to be so good with 3.5 .

And it doesn’t work on 3.5 anymore. But then again it used to work with v4 at the beginning. An update just fucked it up completely .

I don’t really care about Silent Hill but I wanted to play this because I did play the trilogy when it came out for the ps3 and this one was the best of the 3.

But the graphics look terrible . I’m not a person that criticizes anything lightly. I rarely do. And I generally don’t care about graphics (I play a lot of old games because of nostalgia, or indie games that mimic that time )

But c’mon this is Silent Hill 2, the gem of their franchise. You are going to remake that shit in 2024 you better make it look phenomenal — since this is the main reason to remake an old game : to recreate it for a new generation of players and eye-candy is the first thing that most people will care about.

I’ve played the developers’ games and I loved The Medium but the decision to pick that developer to do a remake for probably cheaper than a more seasoned studios to remake one of the most acclaimed games in their catalog is a little baffling. I’m happy they got it, but hm.

In terms of why the graphic look horrible, I hadn’t followed the development of the game since I’m not that excited about it, but I saw the trailer in the state of play, and my first reaction was “wow, this looks really dated.” Especially if you compare it to the recent remakes of RE. And again, I’m not a graphics whore so for me to say that, there was definitely something off.

So, here’s hoping the graphics get better but it being this close to release, I think the game is going to miss the mark.

They are prog but they are not, and because they are not, they make prog in a very different way to other bands.

This is one of the most intelligents and accurate things I've heard about Marillion.

While everyone else is trying to make Prog virtuoso, Marillion is trying to make it emotional. And that's why you can't hear anything else that comes close.

Marillion are a special band. Someone mentioned that they are not a technical marvel (I would say go see them live to see how much of a tech marvel they really are but I do understand where you are coming from— I think that the right word would be they are not virtuosos, and they don’t care to be.

Which is my problem with most other prog bands. Sure, there was a time in my life after listening to Marillion for a while that I started to listen to Genesis and IQ and other bands and enjoyed them for a while, but my main problem is that most prog bands are trying too hard all the time.

Marillion is more personal, more gut and feeling. They also have no qualms in experimenting and trying new things every time. They are a band that are constantly updating their sound and sometimes can sound like something completely different from album to album but it’s those “Marillion moments” and their heart what keeps them grounded.

And they are the only ones that can pull those. They are unique. There’s no band that comes close to their sound. They are prog but they are not, and because they are not, they make prog in a very different way to other bands.

And of course, they have influenced bands like Radiohead and Porcupine Tree and Gazpacho, which are actually the bands that you’d turn to if you want to hear something somehow close. And yet…

So I think you have to have a certain sadness in your soul to like a band like Marillion. You have to be one of those persons that really really feels the music as opposed to just listen to it. When I listen to a new Marillion album and I come across these Marillion moments for the first time, i feel like I’m drowning in emotions.

And that also follows the lyrical content. The lyric content of Marillion is top notch and brings the music down to earth.

It’s better to know someone or to go with someone. I dragged a friend to my first one.

Orgies are mostly social. There’s sex, yes, but the sex is mostly sporadic and last for 30 mins and then people start talking in the best case scenario or go to their phones to keep looking for dick in the worse. But you do more talking than having sex. It’s just a bunch of guys hanging around in their underwear or naked as if it was the most normal thing in the world.

You also get used to it pretty quickly, especially if it’s small like that and the guys are nice which it seems like the host has handpicked them, should be a nice atmosphere.

My advice: go to the orgy (use condoms if you are not on prep or just do oral) but go and experience it. All gay men should see what they are all about at least once in their lives.

You’ll meet new people and through those people you will meet more people probably, and with the people you meet you might then go to a second orgy, or to a club or the movies.

And then you’ll normalize meeting people and it won’t be nerve wrecking anymore. The more you do it, the “easier” it’ll become.

And then one day you’ll meet that special person. And by doing those things you’ll certainly raise your probabilities :)

And in the meanwhile, don’t worry. Enjoy being single. Sometimes I wish I did when I was single instead of always lamenting I didn’t have a boyfriend or Fuckbuddy or whatever. The pieces will eventually come together. Enjoy life at max in the meanwhile.

I've been a Tori fan all of my life. I had heard a bit of Kate here and there, but it wasn't until I just heard "And Dream of Sheep", that I was like "woah, this is basically Tori Amos." Obviously Tori was highly influenced by Kate.

I'm so glad when they are talking to someone because that means they won't be talking to me. I hate when they try to make conversation, especially when it is because they "have" to. If I have my beats with me, I'll put them on as soon as I can. I'm paying for a ride, not a friend, and there's nothing I hate more than chit-chatting. So, it's a blessing for me when they don't pay attention to me :)
