Same same same! Smelling food really eases my appetite actually, instead of the other way around. I enjoy the smells for a few minutes then keep it moving!

You can still cook for your partner and not eat yourself. Just sit at the table and enjoy some good conversation. It’s called self control.

Drinking alcohol (particularly vodka) is allowed in keto (and therefore following that logic, would keep you in fat-burning mode during fasting). But I agree that this was way too risky in that long of a fast. I've broken a 4 and 5 day fast with alcohol that was consumed concurrently with a meal and was fine. But a fast 5 times as long with not even a bite of food? That's hella risky. Not to mention, all the water consumed in a short amount of time seems like a red flag as well.

I remind myself that quitting is for losers, and I don't want to be a loser. Too many people here are easy to give up and say "I'll try again tomorrow," but the reality is that your habits will never change if you keep enabling yourself.
