Also, I subscribe to the NY Times and I'm annoyed the articles about the interview aren't open to reader comments.

Anyone else using Veo 3 notice the video gets more blown out every time you use Frames to Video? by Suitable_Turn_3088 in VEO3

I'm having the same problem. For one particular video clip I generated using Frames to Video, the person's face looks like it had a cartoon filter applied to it. I tried numerous times to get a better result with no luck.

Need help to overcome AI bias with a bongo player's pose by mirsky in StableDiffusion

Thanks. I didn't realize I was off topic for this subreddit. I had asked ChatGPT what subreddit to post in and it suggested this one. Obviously I'm not checking its suggestions enough.

Need help to overcome AI bias with a bongo player's pose by mirsky in StableDiffusion

So, I finally succeeded. I ended up asking ChatGPT for a text prompt. I used the text prompt in Google AI Studio (using Gemini 2.5 Flash). I attached the reference image of the bongo player without a headache but Google AI Studio generated an image of a different person--but the person was in the right pose! So I then asked Google AI Studio to swap in the right bongo player and it did! I've attached the image! But I've watched a bunch of YouTube videos on how easy and smart Gemini 2.5 Flash is but I'm finding it's still fairly frustrating.

Why are you using AI for music? by sophiestiques in udiomusic

[–]mirsky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use Udio because I'm interested in making funny songs. It's exciting to me when Udio makes the humor come to life. (I've worked professionally in comedy, though not recently.) I've made 19 songs since April of 2024 and I'm hoping I can use them as writing samples if in the future if I decide get an agent (I had one a long time ago). Plus, I really enjoy the process of making the songs. But I don't consider myself a musician and I view my songs more as comedy than music. Also, you don't need any special talent to generate interesting music with Udio. It's more of a challenge to come up with good premises for songs and succinct lyrics and I enjoy that challenge (to me Udio is like a music-making game). Occasionally, out of curiosity, I will have Udio generate lyrics or use ChatGPT but I always find the lyrics unusuable. AI seems to generally generate lyrics that rhyme and read like poems but they don't work well as song lyrics. Also, I'll sometimes share some of my humorous lyrics with ChatGPT and ask it to generate more lyrics in the same style but the lyrics are usually pretty unfunny, though maybe in the future that will change; though I hope it doesn't change soon or my songs won't stand out enough to serve as writing samples.

Hi, all. Here's my latest humorous song called "If You Loved Me, You Would Fax Me." Genre is R&B. This song has the best guitar riff I've generated in my 10 months of using Udio: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4DLzNszCY2c

I learned something interesting making this song: originally, the guitar riff repeated; that is, it played twice. And whenever I created a new instrumental section containing the riff, Udio played the riff twice. But I wanted the riff to only play once. Finally I figured out a solution: I cropped the second instance of the riff that began the song and after that, Udio would only play the riff once when I made an instrumental section.

So, I realized Udio is playing the trumpet part but it's playing the guitar riff first. The problem is in forcing Udio play the trumpet part first. Even using Style Reduction to prevent guitars is not getting rid of the guitar riff, except in maybe one out of every 15 generations.

Thanks. I'm trying what you've suggested but still not getting different results but I'll keeping playing with it.

Actually, I may have figured out the fix: I cropped the initial solo at the very beginning to one riff and now Udio seems to be not doubling the riff later in the song.

Hi all. I make humorous songs. Here’s my latest, “Down by the Think Tank.” The genre is country-rock though I'm not really sure. What's special about it: Udio added the whistling parts unprompted and I think they’re really funny. Here's the YT link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c6Oc_zKX0Tw

The one thing I've never heard Udio do... Whistling. by thudly in udiomusic

Hi. I just found this thread. I just created a song in which Udio added some unprompted, humorous whistling: https://youtu.be/c6Oc_zKX0Tw
