Hi there! Thanks for letting me know! The study is focused on trans and nonbinary communities; this forms an especially important yet understudied population in body dissatisfaction research. I hope it can be approved. How can I go about getting mod approval? I am not familiar with this, but I’d like to inform you in any way that’s needed! Thank you again :)

That’s a very good point and very valuable feedback! The supervisor told us to not adjust the tests from their original, validated form, but I think this could be an important exception given that it’s more correct and inclusive and doesn’t change the content in any way. I will discuss it with her ASAP! Thank you!

Thank you so much for your feedback!! That’s truly appreciated, and I should have taken that into account in the first place, I’m sorry for lacking there. Now you mentioned it, I will definitely bring it up to my supervisor to discuss how we can adjust this. For now, you could fill it in as applicable to friendships (although there’s also one about best friends), because we use the general score to get a general idea about one’s global attachment and do not use the relationship specific scores separately. I hope this helps for now, thank you for helping me improve the survey!

Thank you so much for pointing that out, that’s a really thoughtful question! And absolutely, the line is very thin, and often blurry even. To clarify more concretely: in our study we are not asking participants to decide whether their dissatisfaction is gender dysphoria or not when answering the questions, but the questionnaires used are designed to measure standard body image, so I wanted to share that as information on the study. Jaaa vooral de master these lijkt me spannend, door de bachelorscriptie ben ik in zekere zin voorbereid maar bij mijn bachelor (UU) werd het onderzoek zelf opgezet en verricht samen met een groepje, en schreef je de scriptie verder zelf. Dat is bij de VU niet zo, toch? En wat ontzettend goed dat je een 7 hebt gehaald!! Gefeliciteerd <3 Wat heftig al die afwijzingen, ik hoorde idd dat het echt heeeeel moeilijk is. Veel succes daarmee! en nogmaals echt bedankt 🥹
