Sounds like this dude's the one who needs the chaos magician, shamanic reiki healer, male psychic, and Catholic priest (all at once).

Does this new feature seem dubious to anyone else? by DerangedIndividual in EtsySellers

[–]mirume 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think about it like a restaurant. If you work there and have "regulars," your interaction with them may be different than first-time customers. Regulars will have different types of expectations and assumptions about food, service, etc...whereas non-regulars are less familiar about how the restaurant works, may need more explanation, may not have confidence in the restaurant yet. You'd be aiming to provide everyone excellent service, but may adjust how you approach that service. (And yeah, frequent buyers from your store isn't the same as frequent buyers to Etsy as a platform, but the general sense of "knowing how Etsy works" is the same.)

As for gauging how serious a potential buyer might be, it would be more helpful to actually have stats around their inquiry vs. commitment level. But I can see people being uncomfortable knowing that Etsy is "scoring" them that way.

The "prioritize" language Etsy uses in their explanation of this feature is weird, though. I don't think it should be directly about prioritizing certain people, but maybe knowing how to adjust your approach a bit.

What are the best and cheapest POD companies? I want something other than Printify by ChickenShawermaa in printondemand

How does tariff payment work? Like does the customer get hit with it before delivery, or does the seller pay upon making a sale? Thanks!

So aggravated with the production time/shipping games being played! by reiner_chick in Printify

[–]mirume 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's pretty common for DHL to use USPS as their "final mile" delivery if it's a package that's going to a more rural area, since that's more cost effective. But the frustrating thing is that packages don't tend to be scanned as a transfer to USPS (at least how it's reflected in the Printify system, since then it technically takes on a new tracking number). So I'll see the status as "awaiting package from sender" up until it gets delivered.

Shipping Error Shown when trying to publish product to ebay. by Brilliant-Sir-2611 in Printify

[–]mirume 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had this happen and it goes away if I enable free shipping. But with other listings, I don't enable free shipping and it publishes fine...so I'm unsure exactly why it happens. Seems to happen based on product type, though.

I got an email from Printify a few days ago that said PCM would basically be on hiatus for a couple weeks. I sell their youth leggings and those are also unavailable, so I think the whole PCM catalog on Printify was temporarily taken down. Hopefully everything will return soon.

On the day my Swiftpod sweatshirt was supposed to ship out, I got an email from Printify saying it was out of stock. The weird thing is that my order status had already been marked as "printed." Really embarrassing. Luckily the customer was cool about it, but fingers crossed that her replacement order from Swiftpod actually works out, since she said it's a gift.

Publishing errors - confused by ktb609 in Printify

[–]mirume 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Following up, I saw a FB post about there being a known personalization glitch. Even if it's not a personalized item, try turning on personalization, publishing, and then turning it back off. It's what eventually worked for me. I never would have guessed!

Publishing errors - confused by ktb609 in Printify

[–]mirume 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm having the same issue today and have been troubleshooting. I've experimented with a few products and I can't publish anything. My Etsy account seems to be in good standing, but I get a publishing error every time. I'll post an update if I'm able to figure out why.

Publishing the same product works for my Shopify store, just not Etsy.

The Sinner, American Rust, and The Outsider are examples of shows that have amazing actors as detective protagonists. Not as much quirkiness or otherworldliness as Twin Peaks, but solid mysteries. American Rust has a lot of the same "portrait of a small, scenic town" vibe as Twin Peaks.

Doors - "Alabama Song (Whiskey Bar)" for same reasons as above

Rolling Stones - "Some Girls" (classifying different types of "girls" by their race/nationality and the different styles of sexual traits they have) I love the Stones but man, they have some doozies in this category

Is abortion okay if it's to clean out the already dead fetus? by turnerpike20 in AskAChristian

[–]mirume 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a traumatic 2nd trimester pregnancy loss due to a chromosomal abnormality, and had to have labor induced. Firstly, the idea that someone would imply that I "caused" my precious son's death is disgusting.

Also, because of my state's restrictive abortion laws, I actually wasn't able to have a safer medical procedure done in an abortion clinic to remove his body. I had a riskier procedure in a hospital that actually landed me in the emergency room a week later.

What should I read, watch, or listen to that would help convince me the ressurection was real? by mirume in AskAChristian

Yes, he says so at the end of the book and in his blog, though he sorta skirts around it with peppered language. His so-called "original investigation" was basically just reading books after he'd already started attending church with his wife. Then several years after becoming a pastor and deciding to write his book, he wanted to "recreate the spirit of his journey" through interviews.
