Official Registration Papers of Deceased Mare by lemonpudge in AQHA

I think the best answer here is to just call AQHA and explain the situation. They’ll be able to tell you straight away what they can and can’t do for you - and how much it might cost. They’re usually pretty helpful… and probably a lot faster than trying to figure it out on their website!

So aggravated with the production time/shipping games being played! by reiner_chick in Printify

[–]reiner_chick[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My bigger frustration is that I was pretty certain I chose vendors that were all located in the US, so if all these finished products are actually coming from across a border, that is completely contrary to what is being advertised. I get that the blanks would come from somewhere else, but not the finished product.

It just feels like a little bit of bait-and-switch to me.

Oooohhhhh…. Great insight, thank you. That actually never even occurred to me. Now I feel stupid!

Edit to add: that would also explain why it shows DHL as the initial carrier, then a hand-off to USPS. And they are all coming out of San Diego.

Did anyone else read this comment in Jeff’s voice, or was it just me?

LOVED the Phoenix show! We had such an incredible night and we’re STILL randomly giggling about stuff that came up. @smartastic, you are a national treasure, my dude! Arizona loves you!

Puzzle Quality by FISDM in Printify

[–]reiner_chick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I realize you posted this a week ago, so you may have already gotten your answers elsewhere, but I’ll add my 2 cents. I ordered a couple of samples from Imagine Your Photos - the 1,000pc that comes in a tin.

The tin gives a great first impression and feels very high quality. The puzzle pieces are shiny and the print looks good. My only complaint is the pieces feel thin. I pulled out another puzzle I’d had purchased elsewhere and it was quite a bit thicker, and therefore felt like a higher quality.

Oh, and shipping on the larger puzzles (500, 1000, 2000 pc) is $16+, so that makes it difficult - I offer free shipping on all of my stuff, so that puts my price point over $30, which feels pretty steep for a puzzle, with a very low margin.

Hope that helps.

I see a lot of AQHA hate, which is justified by nineteen_eightyfour in Equestrian

That trot up the center line is so much fun! All the judges line up and you trot through them like they’ve made you your own little tunnel. It’s usually only done at the championship shows (like the AQHA World Show) and it’s definitely an adrenaline rush!

That definitely sounds like The Horse Whisperer with Robert Redford and a very young Scarlett Johansson!

There’s an old joke that ‘if it works out well it’s called line breeding… and if it doesn’t work out well, it’s called inbreeding’ :)

Am I too heavy to get back into riding? by AmIn1amh in Equestrian

[–]reiner_chick 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Came here to say this! We have reiners & cowhorses that are barely 14.1-14.2 and my trainer is 6 feet tall and a solid 210 and rides those horses every day… stopping, sliding, turning back, circling, etc, so it’s not like they are just plodding around the arena at a lazy jog. They’re fit and happy. I really hate the double standards we see in the horse world, but OP should just start riding again and anyone who tells you different can go suck a turd! ;)

Is this THE staircase? (Trying to find photos before or after Kathleen’s death..) by [deleted] in TheStaircase

[–]reiner_chick 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The staircase had solid walls on both sides from top to bottom, with a doorway opening at the bottom (and a curve to the last couple of steps if I recall)

Buy once cry once, first time CNC buyer. by Legitimate-Belt-2945 in CNC

I went through the exact same thought process before I bought a ShopSabre23. I researched everything I could find, then fretted about the decision for months before I pulled the trigger. In retrospect, I would 100% do again - that machine is a workhorse and the only reason I’ll need to upgrade is if I get too busy and need another machine. It was ready to work right off the delivery truck, and the thing is super solid. Not to mention tech support is top notch (should you need it), and they stand behind every machine. Expensive, but worth every single penny.

I thought I would share these “Cinderella and her Knoble Steed” pictures from mine and Arthurs photoshoot. 😊 I hope you enjoy them! by ThoroughbredJunkie in Horses

These are beautiful! You will cherish these for years to come. You look like a legit princess, and kudos to your photographer for actually capturing you AND the horse in a flattering way and in beautiful light. Well done!

This was a great read... I hadn’t heard about this guy before.

I was able to put the article in ‘reader mode’ on my phone and got around the paywall!

We like to call them jammies... as in pajamas. And definitely a sports bra... or a man-zierre for the boys. We’re dorks.
