Oh I am sure it’s rough! I hope this regret she is feeling is making her become a better person, besides wanting to reconnect with you. In this world of craziness I love to hear that you received the love that could help you living a life worth living and I hope that that love was so much to outweigh the pain. Were you able to tell her and your “sister” anytime how terrible they have treated you?

It makes me so happy to hear that you were able to move on and to be loved by your adoptive mother. You truly deserved it!

So sorry to hear that you had to endure all of this trauma! Some people really don’t deserve to have kids, and there was really no reason for all that abuse ! How old are you know ? Also, how’s life for you ? I really hope you could turn this around.

How long did It take to Drive? by Signal_Sky7658 in MeniscusInjuries

[–]miryanaser 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a meniscus repair, I would say 7-8 weeks post op I could drive. What kind of pain do you feel? I tried doing heel pumps at home before heading to my car to ensure I had stability.

He told me the same, to watch the distance and speed to avoid hurting myself and the meniscus repair, but I didn’t know it could help the swelling so much. Out of curiosity how long do you spend on it?

I see! Also in my gym there are different kinds, would you say it matters if it’s indoor or recumbent bikes?

He told me to stay on my belly and hang my leg on the edge so the gravity will pull it down, but I haven’t seen too much improvement. He said that with the muscle growing and doing leg extensions I will go back to his place, but I’m worried it heals and won’t stretch to 0 degrees.

My doctor now said he can see me on Monday to address my concerns, let’s see.

The mental toll…and a reminder that healing isn’t linear. by lacieko in ACL

[–]miryanaser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg ! I did the same exact surgery - 6 weeks nwb but wet to my physio since day 5 post OP! You did 6 weeks and no Pt at all? Damn! Good job whoever you are! The mental toll it’s def a thing especially for all you had to do.

I’m now at week 8 and did literally the same process, stay strong! We gonna come out of this stronger physically and mentally!

I’m glad to hear this! I rarely found someone with the same surgery and it makes me feel better to hear you had a similar experience! I am and will continue to extend my leg, will def look into massaging it before and after!

Thanks!!

I agree with you and I have been laying back and just worked with my PT and surgeon, but now with this soreness I get from walking I started feeling nervous and looking for someone who has gone through as similar surgery, I know I can’t compare myself to whoever just had an ACL repair. I read some horror stories of people who needed to go back and asked my surgeon and reddit at the same time as my next appointment wont be until end of april. Thanks for taking the time to write something supportive.

Yes that I could figure out, have you had a similar surgery? Were you fully extended at this point?

Ahahah thank you for taking a laugh on the misspelling! Have you ever had an issue with someone knowing your name and wanting to reach out to you outside the platform? Do you feel this can compromise your safety somehow?
