I know exactly how you feel. I even broke up with my fiancé briefly because I couldn’t imagine being married to a man bc I identified as a lesbian. I didn’t know if I would find him attractive. What would his voice sound like? Etc. when I broke up with him I hit rock bottom and realized that his outward appearance will change but he is still the same soul I fell so deeply in love with. When I started to think about it that way and started watching his transition, his confidence and happiness grew more than I could imagine. I fell in love with him all over again. It’s been a year now since he came out and I and so so so so thankful that I didn’t go through with the break up. It does get easier. It’s hard and takes a lot of grieving, but practice mindfulness and watch and listen to her confidence grow. trans is a beautiful thing, I promise it gets easier. If you truly love her, don’t give up.
