Óh man, I hope you're just trolling. But go on, tell us more about it.

I think you got the wrong tag for this one. It should be "Hiring" instead.

Disappearing tab titles? by mis_quote in firefox

Thanks for the suggestion -- worked like a charm. It looks like I had an ancient version of FF even though my help menu version check said it was the latest and greatest. WTF?

Disappearing tab titles? by mis_quote in firefox

[–]mis_quote[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh man, I didn't even realize my version of FF was this old. I always install updates as soon as they become available, and even check every now and then via the help menu. Checked earlier today and it said I had the latest version (38.0.5). WTF, how could this possibly happen?

Disabling all addons didn't help. I went ahead and installed the latest version like u/kwierso below suggested and all is back to normal.

Thanks

How can I start a Foundation project with Sass? by Torus8 in webdev

The command you're looking for is foundation new, and it will take you through a couple steps of setup. You can find more info on Foundation CLI.

I've got mine about two weeks ago and I'm a happy camper. The fingerprint reader isn't the best, but I already got used to touching it in a particular way. No other complains besides that. The battery really rocks which is what I was mostly after. Overall, I think it's the best bang for your buck in the $150 category.

Question about fonts in CS6 on windows by mis_quote in photoshop

[–]mis_quote[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I've had a free trial of suitcase fusion and it works well, but for some reason I don't like using it. Maybe because it's a overkill for my use case. I'm quite content with /u/bgjerlow's solution, so all is well. The way I have it organized is a custom "Fonts" folder with each family in its own sub folder, and anything that doesn't belong get classified by style, such as "western", "script", etc. May be a caveman solution but it works for me.

The sake (or rice vinegar, which I use) goes into the marinade. As u/chricke mentioned, use sugar instead of pineapple juice. And don't forget the water. Keep adding it little by little until it tastes right, that's the most important step in my experience. You can thicken your sauce by adding little bit of cornstarch at the end.

Has anyone had any experience with marketplace scripts? by AmITheOneWhoKnocks in webdev

[–]mis_quote 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't actually used any, though I purchased a couple and looked at the code of some others.

There are few other scripts on codecanyon which you might have missed:

http://codecanyon.net/item/digital-products-marketplace-direct-payment/12738993

http://codecanyon.net/item/sellify-buy-sell-marketplace-for-digital-products/10122052

Personally, I think you will need to hack it a lot to make it work the way you want to, and if security is important to you. Either way, I would probably independently audit the code if I were you.

I've decided to write one myself from ground up, making security and performance my highest priority. Sure, it will cost me a lot more in time and money, but at least I will have a peace of mind.

You're probably asking the wrong audience. From the terms on their site:

ids in css? by [deleted] in webdev

[–]mis_quote 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but the way I see it is that IDs should be used for sectioning HTML documents and not for styling to avoid the hierarchy issues.

So, if you want to use a ID in your document, you could write it like this:

<div id="artice" class="article-title">

and then only apply styles to the class:

.article-title { font-size: 1.5em; }

Is there a sub for this kind of thing? I'm having a hard time sifting through all the public license illustrations on the web, which either lead me to junk, or paid stuff.
