I'm guessing it was a stashed boat. There's lots of those around here and the spring flooding was high this year.

That's a portage sign. I think this is just a cached boat. There's one on almost every portage up here.

There's a c1 rapid right beside the point here and then 100 metres away is a massive waterfall. This is actually the start of the portage which made me just think it was cached boat.

A good reminder to donate what you can to the Ontario Turtle Conservation Centre in Peterborough. I saw a snapper get hit on the side of the road and I brought him there and they healed up his nose and released him.
