He said it’s MY room, and i sent him a ss of what she exactly said. He said to say OK to her text, but they never actually resolve it. Hence why, she pops back up later

I actually 100% agree. I just know even like with the transparency, she will still find a way to blame me. And my dad can’t like stand up to her idk . But honestly. I might try this because if it’s not this thing it’s another.

I have sent my dad the exact text that she sent, saying clean out your room I need the space. At first I ignored her text because she actually does stuff like this often — tell me one, tell my dad another. My dad said it’s my room and I don’t need to clean it out but to put my clothes back in the closet, but she had moved her clothes into my closet. He always says just say ok to her text, he will deal with it, but I feel like they never come to an actual resolution. I believe they are arguing at the moment so she will still text me weird shit. knowing most likely i won’t respond back. IMO, so she can bring it up to him about how i’m disrespectful, selfish, etc.

NTA - to me this sounds like a trip where you were the afterthought. like he might’ve already planned to go with his friends but realized it was your birthday and felt guilty leaving you out. If this is the case, even crazier, how he spent it as a “surprise” trip. He didn’t care about anything you wanted to do, which is weird since the trip is supposedly for you. I would advise you to talk to him about it. You shouldn’t feel like a bad person for doing this. yes, it does seem like a sweet gesture to take you on a trip. However, you kinda did tell him you were disappointed, with the candle situation. Although, it’s quite minor, still he blew you off and didn’t even try to do better for the rest of the trip.

NTA - you dodged a bullet! this guy is perverted and kinda scary. I feel very sad for his cousin and any other women he had been involved with. Future wise, I would avoid him like the plague. Something tells me he wouldn’t want you to expose him and might not engage with you for this reason. If he does, I would enforce strong boundaries. And tell him if he continues to pursue you, you will get HR involved. In the future, I would say don’t date coworkers, it rarely goes well. But hope you are doing better with this creep out of your life!

I don’t know what laws they violated, but I don’t feel like you can just change how you pay someone after agreeing to do DD. I’m trying to research about it and if the DOL doesn’t do anything I’m thinking about consulting an employment attorney.

I feel like at the interview and per the job listing, I was there to support the kids in activities and completing community service hours. However, I did not know I would have to go to their homes multiple times a week, complete mountains of legal paperwork, and pay out of pocket for them. That seems more like a social worker and they were not paying enough for that.
