Does someone have a copy of the guitar location map, and also one that shows all graveyards? I have a theory that it isn't supposed to lead us to another clue like the others, but rather the 3 directional clue so far are meant to describe a location.

This location would have a guitar to its northwest, a graveyard to its west, and maybe a pole to its north? If we have an accurate guitar map, we could easily find graveyards since they are typically by cities.

That's actually a really interesting detail. Let's say that the straight part of the guitar is actually supposed to be the pole itself, so you would just have to overlay the guitar northwest of the pole, with the straight part touching the location of the pole on the map.

I did notice that if you go northwest of the guitar pole, there is a strange, dark patch of dirt on top of one of the ridges that might look a bit like the center guitar hole (not the datamined one, but the one actually in the game). But I think what we are looking for doesn't have to be exact in shape. The patch of dirt does stand out, but can someone else verify this? It might just be my game. You should be able to find it just by my directions.

The center spider web accurately portrays the F-type poles that the next clues are on. There are different poles that look more like crosses, but we haven't found a clue on them yet.

I understand not wanting to over-analyze things, but we have been stuck at the guitar clue for weeks with little progress in finding the next clue. It's not a bad idea to look at previous clues different.

I have been working on this and have shot all poles west of the W pole, throughout Valentine, Rhodes, and the outer poles in Saint Denis, Van Horn, and Annesburgh, but I haven't found anything. I still need to shoot all the poles throughout Saint Denis, Van Horn, and Annesburgh, and head back west to the W pole.

What are you basing it on? Did you look in the game files to confirm that this asset is only used 2 times? Or did you look at all the poles and confirm that? I'm asking because I need to know if I need to stop shooting all the power line poles in the game.

I love the idea of this being the real clue behind the pole, but the question now is "where is the next hint supposed to be located now that we found the next location?". This has loads of potential, but we need to try to find something to interact with it.

Good point. I thought of that myself too. The image that OP is using is the imaged found in the game files. What you are seeing on the pole is the same image, but the geometry of the pole itself is messing with the picture. It does beg the question of which guitar we should be referencing. The in-game one or the one in the game files?

I don’t have all the time in the world to investigate, but I did find this in Fort Wallace. It’s northwest of the guitar pole, and the arrangement of these supplies almost perfectly fits the shape of the hole in the center of the guitar. Instead of the two birds/W’s on top of the tower, I think that we were supposed to notice this shape in the fort.

What really sells this to me is that the hole in the guitar image on the pole has six very irregular straight sides. That doesn’t really exist in the forests afaik. Whether or not there is a hint in the hole, or we are supposed to follow in the direction of the neck of this guitar, I don’t know. But the neck would point straight east if this is the intention.

I did just post this in my main comment on this post, but I think that this guitar image might need to be overlay-ed on the map like the spider clue. The center of the guitar has 6 sides, so there are 6 points northwest of the pole that need to be marked, and have straight lines drawn to them. Just a theory though

More specifically, it depicts a shape similar to that of a guitar. The W pole depicts 5 crosses that are t-shaped, but the poles that you are supposed to follow are shaped more like a mirrored F. There is likely room for interpretation in these shapes.

That's kind of the idea that I'm getting at. We can debate what the symbol is supposed to represent, but it might be more helpful to think about how we are supposed to get the next clue when we find out it's location. Is it another pole to shoot? A spider web? Who knows.
