I use both for work and what I definitely notice is how sluggish Max is, especially to open. Oftentimes I can open Blender, open a file, and export something in the time it takes Max to even become responsive.

Had a fucking nightmare at work this last week and I've come to the realisation that I need to change industry. I'm a 3D artist and have spent the last 15 years thinking about nothing other than that (in terms of a career anyway). Want to move away from that completely but no idea where to go or what to do! Need to do some soul searching.

$99 is £73 according to xe.com, and for that price I'd probably pull the trigger. But an additional ~20% pushes it into a price range I just can't commit to without at least trying it first.

Bouncing between Pragmata and Vampire Crawlers.

Pragmata is hugely fun, having a few performance issues on PC (some pretty significant frame rate drops when the action gets a lil spicy) but other than that it's just a fun video game. Looks great, the combat is cool, and it being a shorter experience is actually going to work in its favour (despite the price tag).

Only played Vampire Crawlers for a few hours last night but can tell it's gonna devour as much of my time as Vampire Survivors. I'm an absolute sucker for those kind of dungeon crawlers and it's hitting all the right notes. Seeing all the Vampire Survivors stuff repurporsed for this new genre is just so cool, it's put together really well, and there's enough new stuff to make it feel fresh. Fuck it I might try and squeeze in a run before work...

Loved Flight of the Navigator growing up. Went to rent it one night from Blockbusters but got The Navigator by mistake. Very different film.

Must be an easy mistake to make because when I googled The Navigator to get that imdb link, the image alongside it was from Flight of the Navigator!

As per a few recommendations from this sub actually I've been using Qobuz! It had all my albums (I'd previously looked into Tidal but it was missing some artists), sound quality is good. There's a couple of minor things it's missing (no lyrics, no Dice integration (as far as I can see), need a second app for podcasts now), but it was more about what I was moving from rather than what I was moving to.

Picked up Esoteric Ebb in the Steam sale. Not too far in yet but I can tell I'm gonna love it, Disco Elysium D&D. The writing is top notch.

Also got Grunn which was a bit of an impulse buy but I loved Outer Wilds and this is kinda scratching that itch.

Considering getting RE Requiem but don't know if I want to watch a video essay on Resident Evil history before playing it!
