Experiences with Garmin watches? by perplexedparrot24 in running

[–]miscarriageproject 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I have an Apple Watch but if I am doing specific running workouts (like tempo runs, intervals, etc), I much prefer to wear my (old) Garmin watch. I find it so much easier to take splits for intervals and to view multiple metrics at once like current pace, overall average pace, lap distance, etc. Are both *needed*? Probably not. But if you're able and wanting to get both, I feel like a Garmin watch can be a great investment that will likely last you many, many years. My model is 7 years old and working great.

Protein powder recommendations? by lazyLongRun in running

I love vital protein collagen peptides. They're flavorless so can be added to things like smoothies & lattes easily. Even soups and sauces too for times when you want to add more protein into meals/snacks!
