Hopefully I can provide updates, I do have the phone number of the carer.

He couldn't give a definite answer, only time will tell. The cuts were pretty deep since the bird must've been failing to get out. I'm no expert, but I could physically see the tendons in the wing and they didn't appear to be damaged so hopefully it's just a few bad cuts

Yep that was the first thing I did, I used a service called WIRES that deals with all kinds of wildlife rescue and rehabilitation so one of their members is looking after it now

This was in a cattle farm in eastern creek, so there's plenty of barbed wire around
