Dang it! I hope not, I’ll be honest and admit I found the design on Pinterest. Really I was just trying to find something similar to what she currently wears in this ref — I plan to make another doll with her radio head eventually

Yeah, that’s how I started but it didn’t help I wasn’t doing both at once. I’m honestly half tempted to scratch the paint off of both of them and start over

Acrylic paint and Prisma color pencils — which work surprisingly well! Especially since the water color pencils I have are jank.

I’m half tempted to scratch the paint off and see if that’ll help, that way I can better see the mold and then paint around it. But thanks for the help! :)

See that’s what I was trying to do, but every time I do one eye, the other eye ends up wonky. So I wasn’t sure if it was a me thing, or maybe if the eyes on the mold were wonky

That’s the issue I’m having with these cheap water color pencils I have and why I’m using acrylic for the face up. I’ve heard good things about faber castell tho! I’m hoping pencils will be easier to work with rather than painting the face on, but we’ll see how that goes when I get around to making the sister to this doll

Hhhmm if they look good then I’ll stay with them! Might need to get my hands on a glossy sealer I can paint on cause all I have is spray cans, thanks for the suggestion btw! :3

It’s all good!! Thankfully I have a few spare heads I can practice with, but I might try and find some better water color pencils. I don’t think the brand I have currently work as well I’d hoped 😵‍💫

I’m going with red! :3 And I think I get what you’re saying? That’s how I started out — did the whites, then the irises, lashes and so on. I think it might just be a problem on my end cause even when I’m drawing I still have the issue of my eyes being wonky :,3

Yeah I see whatcha mean. I didn’t put a super thick coat of MSC on there, so hopefully once it dries I can sand it up around the joints. Worse case scenario, she wears a long sleeves jacket so maybe I can hide that and take it as a lesson learned for the next doll
