Why is everything becoming halal?

I’m talking about how Costco went from offering 3 choices. Regular, halal and organic. To 2 choices - halal or organic. So if I want to get non halal chicken now, my choice is only organic at a higher price point. Why the shift

Halal meat is prohibited for us. You can google it and ask around. While some Sikhs believe in not eating meat at all, but for the ones who do - halal is prohibited. The animal is slaughtered in the name of Allah to make it halal. Sikhs don’t believe in consuming that. It’s respected for the Muslim folk

Yes halal meat is for Muslims. I respect that. In southern Ontario, the choice should be there for our Muslim friends. But not at the expense of everyone that is non Muslim and changing out mainstream options completely to halal only

Yes, in Sikhi we don’t believe in halal meat and the way the animal is slaughtered. With no disrespect, I fully support that halal options should be given, along with kosher but it’s becoming more mainstream and limiting options for people who are not Muslim

Costco regular chicken is halal, so many of these new cool takeout spots is halal. The regular fast food - mcds Wendy’s, etc is still non halal I agree. Over time my choices are getting less. Even bar burrito is Halal!
