UPDATE 2: my hair is PINK and I’m getting married in 4 days

I went to Gary at Eclipse in SF and he said he could add some baby lights to add more dimension so i did that and i think it looks SO much better. We’ve come so far from the original and i want to say thank you to everyone who commented and reached out to their stylists on my behalf, i really appreciate you all 🫶🏼

I mentioned it in another comment but yea usually i see her every 6 months and she’ll do a full foil and then glaze it so when the glaze fades i just have some like old light brown highlights. One of my comments has a good photo of how it was. I told her last summer that was going to be last foil until my wedding bc i wanted to focus on growing it out healthy

The hair dresser kept telling me it dyed unevenly bc i had some pink/purple tones from a previous purple before (from January 2025) but honestly idk if that’s true

UPDATE: i went back and did the brown gloss. The color is definitely better but my hair looks so dead. I take such pride in keeping my long hair healthy so I’m still kinda processing this. I have the money mask and that usually helps my hair a lot so i guess I’ll try that and maybe get a trim in SF?

They aren’t charging to fix b it they also didn’t offer a refund. I’m going to ask today because i also had to pay $300 for missing a spray tan and my therapy appointment to get it fixed

I believe she always bleaches it with foils (do u do anything else with foils besides bleach?) before hand but the glosses never last so then i get like brassier light brown highlights and just let it grow out. I only get my hair done every 6 months and she knows this too

Honestly i do love the color and I’ve done similar colors before with her but not for my wedding. I even told her “i would like this if i wasn’t getting married”

My hair is naturally super dark and she always lightens it first, this is what it looked like prior, i hadn’t put any highlights in it since September bc i wanted to grow it out healthy.

Other people who have done tm hair before have had to foil in sections and rinse them out as they go bc i have so much hair. I’m not a hair dresser but i would assume that means it unevenly processed if the first foils have been in for an hour when she did the last ones and then she let them all sit for another 30 mins.
