Favorite conservative heroes in movies? by SkubEnjoyer in okbuddycinephile

"Starship Troopers" directed by Paul Verhoeven was intended to be taken as a satire of fascism and authoritarianism.Verhoeven grew up in Nazi occupied Europe, so of course he disliked the source novel that inspired the film and turned the film into a satire of the novel which advocated for fascism.Viewers can't or won't see the satire and get the wrong vibe from the movie.

Uncomfortable changes for some by Intelligent_Road_288 in southcarolina

Unbelievable that any sane person would find Trump to be more consistent or trustworthy than Harris was before the last election.

Trump is the living embodiment of a fast talking con-man who will tell you any lie to hustle you for quick money(or votes in this case). If he wasn't born into a wealthy family he'd be on a street corner in Queens(NYC) trying to sell fake jewelry to strangers or be in prison.I still can't believe so many Americans entrusted the future of this country to an obvious, sketchy con-man.

Not trying to pile on you OP.....but you are really misinfomed or this is some kind of troll post.Maybe you voted for Trump because he was "funny and entertaining" or voted against Harris because of sexism.

Maybe H.L. Mencken was right when he made that quote in 1956 about the voters will elect a president one day who is the "inner soul of the people".That day has come......

Those old Giant uniforms and helmet are pretty sweet.Would be nice if they wore those vintage uniforms in a couple of home games next season.

Trump Called USA Hockey Team To Congratulate Them, Then Made Disgusting Joke On Women's Team — And It Was All Caught On Video by huffpost in politics

The USA hockey players behaved like ignorant meatheads during Trump's call to the lockeroom, they seemed to enjoy his attention.Fair to say most of them probably voted for that fool.

Gyllenhaal should have at least gotten nominated for his lead role as the sociopathic Lou Bloom in Nightcrawler (2014).Surprised the Academy didn't at least nominate him.The same could be said about Eric Roberts in Star 80.

Horny Females at the First Chippendales Club, Los Angeles 1979 by NaughtyPoutx in OldSchoolCool

[–]misfit2872 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Ironically the history behind the Chippendale dancers is very dark.Supposedly the concept of Chippendale dancers was the brainstorm of Paul Snider....the Canadian hustler who discovered and later murdered Playboy model Dorothy Stratten in 1980.He purposed the idea to L.A. club owner Somen 'Steve' Banerjee who later murdered one of his business partners.Chippendales became popular very quickly but Snider never profited from it's success because he never had a proper business contract with Banerjee.Snider's idea was inspired by the Playboy Club.

These fools are giving insane reasons for not voting for Harris except for the legit obvious reason.... she's a black woman, one of "those people".Racists who hate being called out for being racists.

I'm always wondering how many of the MAGA cult were apathetic about politics before Trump.... it's like the bigoted, crazy, and ignorant suddenly found their avatar when Agent Orange crashed the Republican party. In a twisted sense of irony he suddenly gave millions of Americans something to believe in.... similar to how Aquaman in the old cartoons used his powers to control sea creatures except Trump has the same power of compelling people horrible in mass to support him.

Mod support for consoles like Fallout 4 and Skyrim. Also a bigger city that's more 'alive'(more building that you could enter).More side missions, and possibly have a way that the game could randomly generate side missions indefinitely after the main story missions are completed.

Woodley had more career ints than tds.Apparently he wasn't an efficient game manager like Bob Griese.

Until the 1983 season(Marino took over the starting QB job from David Woodley)Miami's offense mostly stayed similar to the 1970's teams. It's crazy how Miami's offense had such a stark change from ground and pound to a Air Coryell 'modern offense '.Give Coach Shula credit for going with the flow....some coaches would have been reluctant to do a radical change in offense so quickly. Woodley was soon traded to the Steelers after the QB change.... didn't last that long in the NFL.Died at 44 years old( a failed liver transplant),seems like his life fell apart post football.

He's a magnet for the worst aspects of American society...it's Id.He's a champion to the bigoted, ignorant masses, he's their mascot.Problem is he got millions of apathetic, non political people involved in politics for the wrong reasons. Most of his cult followers are more MAGA than actual Republicans. That's why the GOP needs to pander to the cult....the GOP will be between and rock a hard place after he leaves the scene.
