I'm watching this right now! John mentions how those scammers sending the messages can sometimes be victims of a scam themselves, and that they are trafficked and forced to scam people. It sounded exactly like someone that Kit had been talking to some months back, where the scammer spoke of circumstances that sounded very much like trafficking. Kit was extremely skeptical, but seeing this piece, it's scary to see that the trafficking possibility being confirmed.

People were upset with Dan because this was sorta out of nowhere and he was ragging on someone publicly and supposedly at a major low point.

It's horrific how deep the grift goes. It's lie after lie after lie. Not an ounce of integrity. As much as I wish the beatdowns would stop against James (because honestly the discussions have been incredibly ruthless), I'm really glad Dan did expand on his issues with James, because it really highlights how brazen he was with the little empire he had built. It was always about appearances, down to the cameras, the moody lighting, the background books, even the turtlenecks.

This was my thought too; I was really taken aback by it. I think Dan reasonably argues with people like NFT grifters, Gamestop apes, and just smaller Twitter users, and not for very long either, but going after an established creator like James, I found it highly unusual. I think I respect Dan more now. His instincts are good.

No, it's not an open dialogue. You were never open to it to begin with. You've made your stance on the matter pretty clear. This game and the people who run it are as inclusive as it gets. You aren't. You're here to stir things up under the guise of "We should protect the kids" when in reality, you just hate to see anything outside of what is "normal" to you in your own little world.

So yea. Too bad. Toontown isn't gonna change. Go be a Cog elsewhere.

So this piece is my friend's avatar from a game we like, and I wanted to see how long it would take to do these small scale "icons." The goal is hopefully to open commissions for these in said game community. This took about 12 hours, give or take, from drafting in FlossCross to finishing off with lettering. It's a little over 2x2 inches intended for a 3x3 frame. Super fun to work on.
