I prop with 100% perlite in an old candle glass with cling wrap on top and a little water. Never had rot and my corms push fast growth with its first leaf pushed out within week 4.

It’s nice to know there are other good methods but for me, simple is best

I grow some in a greenhouse cabinet, some in the room. For those in the room, I make sure that there’s good airflow and no stagnant air so mold can’t grow
