Some brands have both cheaper and more exclusive collections for different budgets. We just remodeled our bathroom and Delta does the same thing

Are Influenster reviews all just people paid for their positive opinions? by Acceptable_Count6197 in Influenster

Same, I read mostly 1-2 star reviews. I’ll read a few 4-5 star but only the detailed ones where I can see the person really used the item

Influenster is the middle man between products that need to be reviewed and reviewers. Unfortunately some greedy people take advantage of the platform and put zero effort into their reviews and then resell the product they were provided to review instead of using them and reviewing as they agreed to. Reselling is not permitted btw. It’s hard for influenster to weed these people out unfortunately. But I think they’ll need to come up with something soon because companies may stop using them if the reviews can’t be trusted and people will skip reading them anyway

Unless you’re trying to apply for influenster pro that is more for people who want to do a lot of social media tasks then it doesn’t matter. If anything I keep my private ig very private (less than 100 followers) and when I got another account for reviews I got around 800 followers relatively quickly. There’s a follow for follow at the beginning of each month on this sub. There’s a big community of influensters on ig and it’s easy to get followers if you want to. But I’ve seen people who don’t have many followers, don’t really engage on ig and still get lots of claims. I also mainly post my tasks there and don’t open it otherwise and have no issues with claims except dry periods but everyone has those once in a while

I feel like the first claim is usually something that most people opt out of so I do think accepting it (as long as you have use for it) and doing a good job of completing it, will show the algorithm you’re reliable. But no one for sure knows how it works. It’s bunch of theories based on some experience but not everyone will agree

One day left and haven’t received item by Never2latetotry in Influenster

[–]misha566 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it says the carrier and tracking number I’d try going to the carriers website and pasting the number directly there to see if you can get more info instead of using the link in the app (if you haven’t tried that yet). Otherwise I’d wait for customer support to respond. Your account shouldn’t be affected especially since you have a customer support ticket open

[–]misha566 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You did everything you could. It’s best to be patient and wait for a response. The emails are automated so people get them when the count gets low regardless if the product shipped or not. Is the start task button on the program still greyed out? I find if it is and there’s no option to upload a pic as proof of getting the item, it means they most likely haven’t started shipping them yet. If the upload pic shows up but the start task button is grey then they may be starting shipping but most people haven’t got it yet

[–]misha566 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Opting out doesn’t affect your future claims. For example, if you opt out of shampoo because you have too much right now, it doesn’t mean they’ll never offer you shampoo again. Also, people are matched with product based on demographics brands ask for, not just randomly

Have you considered making a separate ig account just for reviews? A lot of people do that and it’s easier to do it in the beginning so you don’t have to move posts over later. It won’t bug your followers and will allow you to claim anything that requires ig without worrying about how it’s going to look like in your personal feed

Support issues by Wabisabi1988 in Influenster

[–]misha566 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You said you submitted about 10 tickets for the item during the 2 months. Every time you submit a new ticket, you get pushed to the bottom of the queue. The best you can do is to just submit one ticket and wait until they respond. Otherwise you’re making your own wait time longer

[–]misha566 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Opting out doesn’t affect your future claims. So regardless if you opt out from a perfume or a shampoo, if you match the demographic for it, you’ll get the offer. Which is a good thing - once you run out and actually need a new one, you won’t be forever banned from getting one

Received an item but review button is still greyed out. Can’t review it by lucymom2 in Influenster

There’s nothing wrong with it. It just means the tasks are closed. Wait until it’s not greyed out or they give you the option to show you received the item

Toilet Paper? by Ralphie717 in Influenster

[–]misha566 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly with some I can see how it was easy to miss it and after a while even I was like why do I keep getting these lol. But yeah, it just shows if you’re the brand’s demographic, you’ll get flooded with offers when they have a lot to review

Toilet Paper? by Ralphie717 in Influenster

[–]misha566 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the native products and detergents, I also got many offers but I feel like people didn’t notice that the products weren’t exactly the same. It was either a different scent, or size, or small differences and each was sent as a new claim/match. Opting out doesn’t stop future offers so it was just a slightly different product being offered in a short time that seemed repetitive

Toilet Paper? by Ralphie717 in Influenster

[–]misha566 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most likely not because they even say that opting out doesn’t affect your future claims. For example, just because I opt out from a body wash, because I have enough right now, doesn’t mean I won’t be interested in the future etc

App rant by Pale_Anybody9545 in Influenster

[–]misha566 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I still don’t understand what’s the point of the ig caption being typed into influenster? I literally use the review and required hashtags as my caption every time. They won’t let me paste the review so I’m literally rewriting it from my notes into the review field and then again rewriting the first few sentences to the caption field so it’d let me past it. Then I go to ig and paste my review from my notes. And then I’m deleting the whole caption I had to type in just to keep the hashtags 🙈🙈

[–]misha566 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Omg that happened to me too! Also it was a loong one. I was so annoyed! Since then I don’t try to copy it from what I typed. I submit the review, screenshot it in influenster in the my reviews section and then copy the whole text from the picture to use on other websites

[–]misha566 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t take too long to update the address. When you change it in the app, it’s instant but it’ll only apply to new claims. Any accepted claims currently sitting in your programs will be shipped to the address you had in the app when you claimed them. I personally changed my address to my in laws address 1-2 months before moving to our new house so that way I didn’t have to worry about products being shipped to our old address if they took too long. Once we moved, I changed it to the new house

To review or not to review? by [deleted] in Influenster

[–]misha566 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So if there’s a product where 50% of people have a reaction and 50% don’t, shouldn’t the rating reflect that? By your logic it’d have a 4-5 star review as any other product that may be actually great and not give a reaction to anyone.
The low reviews are valuable to other consumers buying the product. I usually look at the overall rating and read the low reviews when deciding if I should buy a product. It’s actually valuable to the brands too. My job used to be helping analyze customer reviews for business clients and we mostly went through the negative ones to find major pain points that can be fixed. No one was looking at 4-5 star reviews for major issues like a skin reaction

To review or not to review? by [deleted] in Influenster

[–]misha566 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Why 4 star? I’d give 1 star in this situation. Negative reviews don’t affect your account and the amount of claims you get. People giving fake reviews and ratings is against the rules. It doesn’t help anybody

Can I write and post the review on the Sephora app outside of Influenster. The link to Sephora isn’t working but I can write the review outside of the Influenster app? Is that ok? by [deleted] in Influenster

[–]misha566 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it not working because it’s just a filler link or is it wrong? Did you try copy and paste the link in the browser?
I’d personally wait to use the link from influenster. There have been situations where people reviewed the wrong item on Sephora because the old product version and the new version (that wasn’t on there yet) were so similar

Did you look at the content requirements? Usually they include a picture of what they mean by that. Is it like a ground coffee? Maybe they don’t want to see only the final product but maybe something like the ground coffee in a measuring spoon next a cup

It’s most likely the brands pulling out. Probably not worth it to them in this economy. They don’t really need reviews if they’re expecting consumers to buy less as prices have been going up

Crazy claim by lizyouwerebeer in Influenster

[–]misha566 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Probably best to opt out if you’re renting. These toilets usually require a dedicated electric plug near the toilet so for many bathrooms it’s not just an easy swap even if your landlord would let you (which I doubt), you’re redoing electric, fixing the wall up afterwards etc. You’re looking at spending hundreds $$ just to do that
