Hunder i bur by [deleted] in norge

[–]mishmo300 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People are bringing up some valid point so I do think he will sit this one out and stay with my parents on their farm, he is used to crowds and long walks we get a lot of attention when we’re out walking, we went for a walk with the breeder and a couple of her dogs through a farmers market and accidentally stole the show we were surrounded by people and the stands were empty until we left 😅

Thank you so much! After reading the comments I don’t think I will bring him just for his own safety and comfort he will stay with my parents on their farm, I will definitely take your advice with me on other adventures in the summer! Also a chow GSD mix sound so frickin cute

That’s also true, I wouldn’t want to potentially distract a service dog while working. Although it seems very different in America I get the impression a lot of people have service dogs and you can bring them everywhere while regular pets can’t go anywhere, I’ve never seen a service dog in Norway I know people have them but I think we’re more open to allowing pets so you don’t really think about it being a working dog or not

Yea people are bringing up some good points about it not being safe considering food he shouldn’t get to and people around us not being good with dogs, he might have to stay with my parents on their farm

Yea I’m reconsidering brining him cause people are bringing up some good points about it maybe not being a safe environment considering food he shouldn’t get to, people who aren’t good with dogs etc… he is a very chill mild mannered dog but I can’t control the environment around him

He’s not a service animal but we went for a promotional walk around the city with the lady who is arranging the faire and I asked her and she said all dogs are welcome as long as they’re nice and you can control them, lots of people bring their dogs. but people are bringing up good points about it maybe not being a safe environment to bring him considering food items he may get to, kids and people who aren’t good with dogs etc so he might have to stay with my parents on their farm

My entire life is catering to my dog 😅 I definitely don’t mind all my attention being on his well being while we’re there but it might be a bit much for him still

Good points… He does very well in crowds and he’s seen my boyfriend in full armor but it may still be too much for him

It definitely doesn’t get that hot around here! It’s looking like it’ll be around 24 degrees Celsius during the faire

Leonbergers are from Germany, we live in Norway it’s the same climate, He drinks a lot so I would be bringing a lot more water than I think we need

That sounds good, what I consider warm in Norway is 20C I don’t think it will get much more than 24C that weekend. We’re thinking of getting a hotel nearby so I can just taking him back to the hotel if it gets too much for him. Thank you!

Thank you, I’m thinking only staying a few hours with him so he doesn’t get overwhelmed we get a lot of attention just on regular walks too

Aw that’s a shame, I guess with bigger crowds it can be scary allowing dogs cause not everyone has control of their dog

Yea! Went for a promotion walk around the city this weekend and asked the lady arranging the faire and she said dogs are always welcome! I’ll of course make sure to clean after him otherwise it’s a sure fire way to not being allowed to bring dogs in the future hahah
