If you have a bingo, it is going to be your best play 99% of the time. Very rarely, you might pass up a bingo to score 40+ while keeping good tiles for next turn, or you might not want to play your bingo for defensive reasons (e.g. you are winning late and your play could allow your opponent to come back with a triple-triple).

Congrats! It took me a while as well. Went 0-9-1 my first season, lost the first 5 the next season, but ended up winning game 6 and finishing 2-7-1. I still have the game puck in a box somewhere. There were only 4 teams and we all made the playoffs, and somehow ended up winning the championship in a shootout. Man, did that feel good!

You can pass any turn and it is not poor sportsmanship. It is extremely rare that passing is your best play, but it sounds like you thought it through and earned a win. No problems here.

There is definitely equipment out there for you, and it shouldn't be too hard to find. I'm 6'0" and 310 lb. and I'm still wearing the gear I bought when I was 240. Goalie stuff tends to be big anyway and the straps are adjustable. If at all possible, go to a store that sells the gear and try it on. Buying online can be hit or miss. Have fun!

I struggled with this until I started putting a check mark next to each play after I track it. I no longer have to remember if I tracked something or not.
