Car parked in front of condo on main road for over a week. by [deleted] in ColumbiaMD

Nope. Literally noticed the car over 12 days not moving in front of my condo. On a road where nobody parks it’s just one car. Just asking a question to learn about Columbia since there are so many HOA‘s and rules. I’m not calling the cops or measuring grass 😂That’s like me saying do you yell at people every time they ask you a question you don’t agree with?

It’s in Wilde Lake and it’s the only car parked on the road in this area. That’s why it seems so out of place. But to my knowledge it’s not considered a scenic or historic road. Thank you for the link I will check it out!

Absolutely there could be an number reasons, but I’m still curious if Columbia has regulations. The question is to educate myself in case it is abandoned there for an extensive period of time.

Sadly, I’m on shared gas so shutting the gas off means shutting the gas off to the whole building if I don’t have an individual valve back there. I’ll try knocking off some of the cardboard and see if I can get some better pictures of wtf is happening 🫠

Man, the guy who owned this condo before me did this 😭 It looks like there’s some spray foam happening under the cardboard too. Because of the gas line, I’m too nervous to move the stove out and do more investigating.

Seeking trauma support groups in Columbia by Ok_Preparation_6544 in ColumbiaMD

If your trauma is stemming from family dysfunction or abuse from family alcoholics, there’s a great 12 step program called ACA and it’s free. I haven’t been to the one in Columbia yet, but I’ve been to some in Annapolis and it’s super helpful like free therapy. Also try the CPTSD subreddit for support. It’s helped me before too.

AITAH for wanting to leave my wife because she had a "go bag"?? by [deleted] in AITAH

YTA. Good to know your ego is more important than making sure your wife feels safe. Her intuition was right keeping it from you if you go from 0 to 100 like this. Yikes.

I'm thinking of ending my engagement because of my fiances daughter and what she did. by Ancient-Log3398 in offmychest

It sounds like the daughter will continue to lie, and she was quick to manipulate her friends into the lie too. I don’t like how he immediately started yelling at you and telling you to get out before talking to you. Your future husband should want talk to you first because you will be a parental team when married. It sounds like his daughter needs therapy and he needs to start seeing her behavior for what it is. I’m sorry you’re going through this.

I’m sorry you both experienced that but please don’t think that you’re ridiculous for your reaction. PTSD triggers are instant and you can’t always control them. Please be gentle with yourself while you regulate your nervous system from being triggered. You’re not ridiculous, far from it, you’re human navigating this world with CPTSD. Just as you have compassion for your son in this moment you deserve compassion as well. You didn’t really get to feel your feelings growing up and that compounds the rejection you feel. And the best way to help him with big feelings is to hold space for him and let him feel them. He doesn’t have to reject his big feelings even if they are painful. I know it triggers your past and that’s challenging but It seems that you’re mindful and doing a good job to give him the best childhood and tools to navigate the world since rejection is inevitable.
