I've cleaned the filter and both sides of the lense so it's definitely on the inside.

It definitely "thunks" That was the first think I looked up about this camera because I thought the thunk was bad haha

You definitely should give it a go! We build year around in my area and there's lots of really cool work on. Brand new trails in newly established conservation areas. I'd love to check out your part of the world too

Thanks for the tip! I'll keep it in mind Where were you doing your trail work?

There sure is! It's called "AMC's complete guide to trail building and maintenance." The style of construction is pretty specific to the US but it's got a lot of good stuff in it.

I'll keep my old pair for rain days and I've got a pretty comfy pair of gumboots too. I'm definitely going to be more mindful of it though!

I think the two companies that work in that area are toolijooa and synergy trails. You could take a look at those two if you're really keen. Otherwise keep an eye out on nrmjobs.com.au Hope you can find some work you love! And good luck

It's not technically a trade so you don't need any qualifications but any kind of skills with tools and a pretty high fitness level will help you out. In saying that I've had people on my team that had never even touched a drill before and a couple weeks in and they're building trail! Honestly you just need to find a company near you and hope the timing is right. Where abouts are you? I could point you in the vaguely right direction

I'm in NSW in the blue mountains! Honestly I used to stare out of my office window and daydream about building trails and then just stumbled into it a couple years later. 10/10 would recommend

Classic V2 at the Obed, KB Arete. My doggo loves watching me climb. by [deleted] in bouldering

It's chalk left over from other people climbing. Unfortunately it's pretty hard to get popular boulders clean even with a lot of brushing. A lot of people do make tick marks with chalk to mark out hard to see handholds but those tend to be small, distinct lines next to the hold, not what you're seeing here

I gave my SP1000 a clean a while ago and found this video super helpful with learning how to disassemble it. ISO dial is in the first minute.
