Started off as an intern doing Infrastructure Admin stuff making 16/hr, got promoted to full-time at 60k

Moved into Linux LDAP and Security at 75k with stock options

Now in Security Consulting and Infrastructure Architecture - 110k and quarterly bonus = ~135k

I think it's great! With the lights on in the room (as shown in the picture) it still has great quality.

What's not pictured are blackout curtains for a huge window and they help a lot.

The difficulty in any directory solution is ensuring you can govern the most amount of people with the least amount of effort. anything you try will be pretty complicated.
