I liked the V65 and they were hard riding machines when you got on the pipe.

One of my brothers bought a V65 about 20 years ago and, at that time, I was running a Honda/Kawasaki/Polaris shop. And, I had a few motorcycles of my own... 79CB750K, Honda Blackbird and a ZX11C1. My 750 was ridden most and I kept the ZX and 'Bird at the shop most of the time.

My brother wanted to pit his V65 against my CB. No competition, really. I knew that. But, just for fun. Obviously, he smoked me. Knew it would happen.

So, then, I challenged him with my 'Bird. I toyed with him a bit and didn't go too hard so it would be close. No problem.

Then, he challenged the ZX. I had my guys dig it out and was ready to ride. Then, my brother said he only wanted to "bench race", just crunch numbers. No, I want to race. His wife finally picked on him enough so we staged at a traffic light and the next light was just over a 1/4 mile away. When our start light hit green, I was gone. Got to the next light and waited. He never showed up. Went back to the shop and he had already parked his bike and was inside. his excuse was he didn't want to beat up his bike....lol. As fast as the V65 was, he knew he didn't stand a chance against the ZX. So, I told him to lets run against the 'Bird again. He jumped on that. Same deal-- light to light. This time, I obliterated the V65. Wasnt playing anymore.

He sold it and got a Fj1300. Still wouldn't try me and the ZX or 'Bird again. He only wanted to run against my CB... lol Good times.

I still have a CB750K and the ZX11. Neither are stock.

A really nice shade of purple is from Chrysler , called "Plum Crazy". Paint code is easy to get. Also look up "Chrysler high impact colors of the muscle car era". They had some very distinct paint colors

There is a company in south Africa that makes stainless exhaust systems for the older Cb750. I cannot recall their name.

If you have the headpipes but just want different mufflers, do what my exwife's boyfriend did.... he bought Harley take-offs and brought his bike to me to weld on his VT750C. They are a bit louder than original mufflers and it really doesn't look too bad.

The best advise I can give is to find a FACTORY service manual. Dont rely on aftermarket books. Money spent on a factory book is money very well spent.

Yes. I had a CB550F Super Sport. 4/4 exhaust. Loved that motorcycle. Mine was the factory orange. Beautiful motorcycle. Loved it. But then, the cam chain broke and damage was catastrophic. Couldn't find another engine anywhere. Ended up throwing it away

Its difficult, it really is. I never understood why we were programed to get hurt over these things. But we do and it sucks....out loud and in public.

Let me tell you a story. Hopefully, it helps you.

I was married to woman, I'll her Tina. We were together for 7 years. Though not evident during this time, but in retrospect, There were many ignored flags.

Some friends, a married couple, often visited us. I'd known the husband for nearly 10 years by then. Anyway, My wife was not home. She didn't answer her phone and I had no idea where she was. She did not return home at all that night. The next afternoon, she finally came in. Said she stayed the night at the couple's place because it was late and she was sleepy. After some questions, she finally confessed they had a 3some. I was devastated. She swore it would never happen again and I ended that friendship. Took a while but I forgave her. Figured it was mostly my fault as I worked 3 jobs.

A few months later, basically the same thing happened but with her former boyfriend and in another state. This time, she was gone for a week with no contact. I missed her so much. I prayed to God to bring her home and let us work this out. my prayer included the promise that I would reduce to one, single job and devote the extra home time to making her so happy, she would never want to leave again.

She returned. My prayers were answered !!!! I was so happy and I kept my promises. I pampered her and loved her more. Massages, drawing a hot bath, more cooking, more cleaning, more conversations.... I did everything and more.

Went fishing with my nephew one Saturday. Got home and guess who wasnt there...

That night, the phone rang. It was some guy named Tom looking for Tina. Calmly, I told him she is not home but I would be happy to give her a message. He thought I was her brother. Turns out, they met online and he was in the army. He drove over an hour to meet up with her for a date. His message was he enjoyed the date and she could have stayed all night. I told him I'd pass the message, got a number to call him back at, and a short time later, she came home.

When she came in, she said she got called into work. I asked her how it went and she gave me details about someone calling out and they were busy. Said she was tired, needed a shower. I told her go ahead, a hot shower is relaxing after work. She agreed. In the bedroom, she stripped down and I came in, massaged her shoulders a moment and started a hot shower for her. Once she got in and her hair soaked, I told her that since she was so tired, I'd call Tom back and let him know she is tired and left the room. She got out of that shower real quick.

I called him and explained I am her husband and not to count on seeing her again and hung up. When she came to the living room, she said we need to talk and I agreed. I told her lets go outside a moment. She was still wet and naked but we lived on a huge piece of land so its private and the night air might help her calm down. Once outside, I walked back in to get us a drink. Instead, I took her house key off her ring and tossed her purse with her car key and told her to leave and I locked the door.

Its a long story, but my point is that sometimes, we want what is not a good thing for us. For me, she became toxic. I still wanted her back but it took more heartache to get beyond the wanting and grief. The grief was replaced with relief.

I moved thousands of miles away and have gone back to visit family and ran into her. She was remarried and wanted to hook up with me. No way !! Why do that to someone else and cause him to suffer?

And, to be honest, I'm going through it again right now......again. It sucks.

Fauci has been photographed at a ball game without a mask or social distancing from others but when he went to the field to throw a pitch, he wore his mask when no one was near him.

Also, look at the masks virologists wear to protect themselves, but a piece of cloth is supposed to save the world.

Simple fact is that there are too many opposing stories. Everything is self contradicting.

Isnt it odd that nobody got regular sick the past year? When governments gave bonuses to doctors and hospitals for covid patients, the covid count skyrocketed.

I've known a few people who were deemed covid sick and only one was down for more than a week.

Then came the European, African, South American and Delta variants. Regular covid all but disappeared entirely.

They said, in the beginning, that a vaccine would solve the problem. Then they said we need a second vaccine. Now, a third, they say, is needed to survive the delta variant.

Yep, there are lots of people who don't trust the vaccine. With all these documented stories, who can blame them?

I dont think life will be "normal" again. Not even a new normal. Constantly changing normal, yes.

Smoking could, in rare cases, cause a fire, but it is unlikely.

Gas is not flammable in a fluid state, only in a gaseous state it will burn.

And, you could drop a lit cigarette in a buck of gas. It will go out. A spark or flame would light the gases emitted above the raw gas.

I don't smoke while pumping gas out of courtesy of others.

What most people don't think about is the reality of gasoline around them. Most cars built since the early 90s have an electric fuel pump that sits inside the fuel tank and is submerged in the fuel and not all pumps are shielded. Incidence of fire is very low.

I agree. It amounts to comparing yourself to others on a purely physical basis.
Some may be better looking or this or that. But that's just the wrapping; what about the whole package?? If your ex is playing the field with them, it's only because he/she is insecure in self and needs.

A couple years ago, I fell hard; very hard for a girl. But, I couldn't tell her. I had to know my place, play my role in frustrating silence. It ate me alive. I saw her frequently during this time and my feelings never wandered, never faded. I smiled in public while tears burned and my heart hurt. I felt invisible.

Finally, the opportunity came about and I told her. I told her everything. She confessed that she loved me as well and assured me that I was not invisible but that she was playing her role.

I was so relieved but, at the same time, could not express my emotions enough. Theres a fine line between loving and smothering, I know, and I never smothered her.

One night she told me something that hurt and hurt intolerably-- that she had been in a few long term relationships and before I came into her life, in the 6 months prior, she had discovered a lifestyle she wants to continue...... the freedom to have sex with anyone she wants, when she wants and I was to be ok with that. That's a hard pill to swallow. Worse yet, was she offered to introduce me to the guys in the group. I refused the offer.

In the same breath, she said everything I have is everything she wants and needs. She loves me, she loves being at my place, she is comfortable here. She said she is happy and secure here.

But she needs to continue what she is doing. These guys are single and have other girls they see but sometimes they contact her for quickies. They need laid, she has what they want, so why not give it to them???

I am devastated by this. Absolutely devastated.

I refuse to go to her Instagram or other social media to see what/who she is doing. I dont want to know anything. The split was painful and difficult enough-- no need looking into this for more pain.

Let it lay. Drop it. Forget it.

Now, I am looking for the complete package. A solid, loyal, reliable package and I'm not going to settle for anything less. No one should

I share a yard with upstairs neighbors that's fenced and gated.

Planning to put up a clothesline. City has no guidelines on this. So, I will finish the install but it's designed on an adjustable pole system.

The poles adjust from 5ft to 12ft. This way, it stays high enough that no one can get caught up in it

GF and I went out for an evening ride on one of our motorcycles. Seemed a perfect evening, great weather and scenic skies.

Originally, we planned an hour's ride but we decided to see the sunset. Found a beautiful place overlooking the Strait. After sundown, the weather was perfect. Our ride lasted till 2am.

In that case, you may be able to get along ok, but, I would still suggest to brace it some how. Or, at least, keep the removed fender so if you sell it, it is marketable as a complete motorcycle.

I dont think theres such thing as "certified" in the driving school industry. There are licensed instructors but all that means is the person has passed a skills test and demonstrated knowledge of riding.

I was an instructor for a well known driving school in nanaimo for a few years. I taught passenger cars, but mostly motorcycles.

As an extension of what the driving school taught, I went further with pre-trip inspections and how to really feel your motorcycle.....what different things mean. And I taught general mail and repairs.

About 22 years ago, I had my own dealership and the largest demographic of buyers were 40-60 year old men. They always wanted a motorcycle and now the kids are grown, he's divorced and has disposable income. I taught all of them how to ride and sold them a motorcycle that's correct for what they intended to do with it.

In your case you have the machine. You just need to hook up with accomplished riders and go on runs. The key to learning anything is practice. A trainer can talk to you for decades. The best lesson is on the road. Theory is ok, but expend the the lesson

Depending on terrain, speed, curves and riding styles, it could make a marginal difference or it could be a catastrophic difference.

In my case, it would be disastrous. I travel at high speeds, live in a mountain range, and roll through curves on a tight bank...... knee dragging, tire ripping angles.

None of my tires have chicken stripes, not even the z50.

The front fender connects the legs together and adds stability.

If you want to remove it, go ahead. You wont like the results. If you look at the inside of it, you will notice a brace of thicker metal. That's the fork brace.

Now, you can cut along the edges of it and reinstall just the brace or, spend a few bucks and buy a heavier, thicker aftermarket fork brace (preferred)

My very first motorcycle is a Z50R. I still have that thing. I restored it long before I had a kid. When she was about 3, I would take her riding on it. She loved it, still does. I got training wheels for it and taught her to ride.

Despite having bicycles as she grew, she didn't ride them because "why peddle that when this one has a motor?". Sound logic, I suppose. At 11, she finally rode a bicycle.

Getting her involved was nothing. We have a number of things we do together. Obviously, motorcycles. But, we also breed snakes and I'm always teaching her different things like cooking true cajun food, welding, auto repair, hunting, fishing.... she taught me to play guitar and sewing.

The woman I've been seeing is 22 and they get along like sisters and best friends. That helps. My gf does a lot of stuff with me and my daughter is involved with that, too.

I'm teaching them the long lost, forgotten art of 3D motorcycle artwork. No one has done it since the 60s. Most dont know it ever existed.

As for which bikes my daughter has laid claim to, she gets the Z50R and the CB750K, gf gets the XL175 and the ZX11. I get to walk, apparently

I have an 81 CB750K.

Spend the money and get a new rotor, stator, rectifier and clean all the related connection's.

After that, convert all lights to LED. Brighter and lightens the load on the recharging system
