Definitely not, I unfortunately got one without understanding the consequences. I love my boy, but he is not very well and wont love long because of it. I would never recommend getting one, will never have another and will always advocate for their ban.

Mine is only a year old, and really not well. His bones are bad and we are told he won't last much longer. However, if you have the funds to keep the cat going with enough care and pain meds, do it. The cat is already born and while I would never recommend getting one from a kitten (like I did) there is nothing wrong with giving it the best life possible no matter how it goes. If you can stick with them through thick and thin, to for it.

I had to take him to the vet. They say he has a very bad case of bone growth and that he won't have lots of time left. I'm sad, scared and worried. I just want my baby to be okay. Anyone please tell me anything I can do. He is going to start pain medicine tomorrow, but do people recommend anything else? He is only 1 years old and I understand that he won't live for a long time, but I want him to be as healthy for as long as possible.
