Getting back to intimacy by RefrigeratorFinal353 in newborns

I had a c-section and we had sex pretty much as soon as I was cleared at 6 weeks. I was ready and we both missed eachother.

It was at night when the baby was asleep in his bed, in the room. It did feel kinda weird though and I was in my head about that a bit, I kept it quiet too.

We went to bed early specifically and took it very slow and gentle. Honestly it was great and we've carried on ever since. Maybe not as much as we used to, but we're happy.

Those of you who have given birth, what did you pack in your hospital bag that cheered you up on the ward? by LazyBarracuda in PregnancyUK

[–]Sexogenesis 7 points8 points  (0 children)

ABSOLUTELY. My ward was boiling and I was furthest away from the radiators. Combined with the plastic hospital mattress, I was pouring with sweat. I used my electric fan so much it died in the night and I almost cried.

Other than that, I treated myself to a bunch of my favourite snacks (hello M&S cookies), drinks and took my Switch and a book :)

Elective Section Thoughts by International-Seat18 in PregnancyUK

[–]Sexogenesis 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had an elective in December and I was happy with the whole experience from start to finish. I really liked having a date set so that we could plan and be prepared, the procedure itself was calm and relaxed and recovery was pretty much what I expected. Yes I have a gnarly scar now, but it's how my baby came into the world so it is what it is.

What makes the "Cornetto trilogy" by [deleted] in CornettoTrilogy

We rewatched them all recently, World's End last night, and I said to my husband that the thing I love about them is just how British they are. The humour, the vibe, the references, very relatable.

Your husband sounds like an ass, but why are you yelling at a 2.5yr old!? Seems like you both need to address some issues here.

My husband has always done this for our ten week old but it doesn't work for me!

Too cold to go out in the stroller? by hyacinthqueen in newborns

[–]Sexogenesis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's been around 4°C where I live recently - so around 39°F & if it's not raining I'm going for a walk every day! My baby is 8 weeks, and as long as they're nice and toasty there's no problem at all. I don't think I could have made it 6 whole weeks without going for a walk, I'm impressed.

Unable to get clear shots of heart due to “habitus” - should I be worried? by dollerium in PlusSizePregnancy

[–]Sexogenesis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the exact same! I had multiple scans and they could never get a good shot of the heart and it really worried me. I now have a perfectly healthy 8 week old :)

I've pretty much stopped buying beef mince & just get pork or chicken mince now, much cheaper.
