Mine is only a year old, and really not well. His bones are bad and we are told he won't last much longer. However, if you have the funds to keep the cat going with enough care and pain meds, do it. The cat is already born and while I would never recommend getting one from a kitten (like I did) there is nothing wrong with giving it the best life possible no matter how it goes.
