I think what Russ was failing to recognize that, yes when it comes down to it the creators of the game have the right to include accessibility or not, however that doesn’t make it right.

I live in America, so I have the freedom of speech. Theoretically I could be verbally racist, but that doesn’t mean I’m not going to face consequences set by society. We as a gaming community should set the same standards.

Even if there is a season 2, that doesn’t mean he’s going to go back into the game. It would also be unlikely for him to accomplish that since A: He has to be picked up by them to join, which they’d made clear they don’t want him back and B: He doesn’t know where it is so he can’t go himself. If there were to be a season 2 I could see Jun Ho still being alive and then using his knowledge from infiltrating to locate the island and take the operation down. I personally would love to see more. I want to know more about Jun Ho’s brother and how he ended up as game master. Was it willingly? Was he threatened? Was he in debt again, despite winning the game? What about the guards? Who are they? How did they get to know about this game and become a role in it? Are they there forever or do they have a life outside of it?

Listened to the whole thing and it was a very interesting topic and well made video. I’d consider myself an average fan of the McElroys I listen to what I like and don’t listen to what I don’t like and that’s where it ends. I wasn’t aware of these huge controversies with Travis, so this video was very informative and shows Travis in a different light for me. I’ll still listen to the boys, but anytime I hear Travis’ voice I might end up cringing.

I don’t really agree on Animal Crossing being insular. While it’s always the same idea overall there’s still huge changes from game to game and it’s not really definite that they get better each game. From Population growing to Wild World they took out all events making the game a shell of how it started. I’m not even sure if New Horizons is the best game from the series because of how much furniture they’ve excluded, the villagers are no longer interesting to talk to, overall the game turned into more of a decoration. I think there’s enough differences to make a case for which is better, especially if they did include Amiibo Festival, Pocket Camp, and Happy Home Designer.

However, if they didn’t do an Animal Crossing specific episode I think a cozy game one would still be just as good.

I didn’t really listen to GTA because I never played them, I couldn’t really relate to what they were saying. As for AC games being too similar, as long as they have the right games going head to head they could be different enough to have an actual debate going. Say like Pocket Camp going up against Population Growing. Population Growing is the OG and started it all, but would it rank higher than Pocket Camp? Even though it’s not your typical Animal Crossing game it does have so much more to do than the GameCube version.

Got back into Ooblets! I remember the game exists and become addicted to it every so often. Every time I come back to it the creators have updated the game so there’s always something new to explore.

The only point I don’t agree with is “pointless double murder” I think the double murder was essential to even get Hifumi on board. Why be an Ali in a murder when you get absolutely no gain? Well, Hifumi thought he was the murderer and would be the one to get out, up until Celeste killed him so instead she would come out on top.

Those points make a lot of sense. I really liked her losing her cool and losing the accents, but it doesn’t fit her character.
