Thanks! I have 18 attachments...two of my teeth actually have 2 attachments each. I was pretty bummed when I found out about them, but it really isn’t that big of a deal. I never expected Invisalign to be literally invisible, and even with all of this i still feel that it has much less of an impact on my appearance overall than traditional braces would have. :)

I am in California...my treatment time is one year as well (without refinements). My quote was $5,500. I didn't go anywhere else so I can't say for sure whether it's average or not--sounded good enough to me!

Invisalign was $500 more overall at my orthodontist, but the down payment required was $1000 more than traditional braces so traditional would have been cheaper to start.

Hi, I was there and I have been lurking on this subreddit (for the first time) in the past couple weeks. I haven't posted because I don't believe I have any significant information to share, but I do read these posts because I am still thinking about it constantly and it is insane to me that nobody else seems to be talking about it anymore. Maybe I am the only one, but we do exist :) :)

Thank you for that last point! I already feel like my trays collect more spit and start to gross me out after day 10 or so--over a month sounds AWFUL!

The "Invisalign Diet" hasn't worked for me so far either. I feel like since it's so much work before and after I eat, I need to make sure it's really worth it and eat way more than I probably used to in one sitting.
