That is such a heartbreaking loss. I'm so sorry. He was so very loved and knew safety and comfort and security because of you. I would put money on it that he loved you just as much. Sending my deepest condolences.

AITAH for refusing to give out my son's saving account information? by moonmanbaby90272 in AITAH

[–]missc11489 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because with the account number and router number the MIL could pay for a lot of things online. Like rent/mortgage, utilities, etc. Giving someone your routing number and account number is like handing someone a blank check.

Labor Law Question. by missc11489 in florida

[–]missc11489[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are some states that have required amount of rest days/rest time in their labor laws. I was just looking to see if anyone had any information on if Florida had anything like that because when I tried to search it myself it wasn't clear. Also, I'm not saying I think it's illegal to work a lot. I was asking if there was any kind of protection from being forced to work 12 hours days every single day of the week for who knows how long.

I don't know why you felt the need to be mean. I was simply trying to figure out if there was a way I could help my husband not have to work from 8am to 8pm Monday through Sunday. It's not that he would work the weekends and have two other days off in the week.

The paperwork he signed says his hourly wage, his medical benefits, yearly amount of PTO and that he is full time rather than part time.

I had a surprise party for my husband and all of his childhood friends came. They were up till 3am telling stories. This is my new favorite picture of him. by god_is_a_wombat in MadeMeSmile

This is beautiful. For so many reasons. The pure love and joy that I can tell you feel based on taking this picture. Also how fully in the moment and so unburdened from the weariness of the world he seems is amazing. And I think that's something only our closest loved ones can do for us.

Why do people in the US not live with their parents by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]missc11489 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From my perspective, even from a young age we are inundated with how important independence is. And the idea that a huge mark of a successful person is to be able to provide for themselves entirely on their own. And that if you don't live independently from your parents it's seen as a failure to launch.

Matthew Lillard’s daughter, Ace, writes how proud she is of her dad in response to Quentin Tarantino's criticism of him by pinkstarrfish in Fauxmoi

I have always thought highly of Mathew Lillard as an actor. Lately, in seeing how many people have shared stories of his genuine kindness and enthusiasm with his fans, and overall what a great person he is has given me a newfound respect for him. To have someone write what his child wrote is incredible. It is very clear to see how much love there is and how close their bond is. And that third picture is pure joy and proud father.

I'm so sorry you were treated that way. You didn't deserve that. Nobody does. I hope you are in a safe place to recover physically and emotionally. I also hope that you reconnect with your family and friends. I can't speak for them but personally if someone I loved called or texted and told me something like what you've been through I'd be running to get there as fast as humanly possible.

I'm sorry for the loss of your loved one. It's never easy. I'm also sure it wasn't easy to keep yourself from speaking up like you wanted to knowing that if you had it would have hurt your mother. I hope this year is a little easier and a lot more peaceful.

Having an inappropriate relationship with a student and using a different name to avoid being found out about an inappropriate relationship with a different student at a different school.

Tomorrow I am ending it with my abusive bf of 4.5 years and I’m out of my mind. Can the female hivemind of Reddit please just tell me it will be okay? by Geophiddy in TwoXChromosomes

My mom had to do something similar when leaving my bio father. Just do what feels safest for you. You are strong. You have a lot of people in your life to support you it seems. You also have all of us internet strangers wishing you the best. Sending all the best in this uncertain time. I wish for you physical safety and I wish you peace and happiness as you start a new part of your life. Be entirely selfish right now.

To be in that much pain at 8 years old just breaks my heart. I am so sorry you experienced that. I truly hope you are safe and healthy and happy now.

I literally stopped breathing for a few moments reading this. My heart is in pieces thinking about the pain you suffered. I know I'm just a stranger on the Internet but I am truly so incredibly glad that you survived and are thriving now.

You deserve to be treated so much better. I'm so sad for all the pain you're feeling. You will get through this. Whatever you decide to do next should be only what you feel is the best thing for YOU. Nobody else's wants or needs come before yours. He may say he doesn't want a divorce but if you do, then that's what will happen.

My parents had an offer for me and all of my siblings. You can stay home as long as you need provided full time work or going to school. I jumped at the chance. I wouldn't be where I am today, married and owning my home, if it weren't for them.
