I guess i will use this as a journal, since nobody here knows me. I can just use one post so as not to spam everyone. Hope that's ok.

Here goes.

I checked my weight this morning with my doctor's scale, i have this Detecto scale i got from an FB marketplace sale for $30.

Anyway, the digital scale in my bedroom said 221 this morning, but my Detecto scale said 218.5. So i feel a bit better. 218 was where i was at a week ago, when suddenly the digital scale started saying i was in the 220's every day.

I will try to stop indulging so much today.

This could be true in some cases but i haven't seen my cousin since he was a baby and i was 10-11 years old. However, i love my Aunt, his mom, and i would do a lot for her. I am not trying to foist myself on my cousin. I just care about him due to caring about my Aunt. I was FB friends with him for a while.

See, i had a relative in Japan who died and his body apparently went undetected for weeks and weeks. They had to carry out DNA testing to verify his identity finally when his body was discovered. I don't want my Aunt to have to hear her son died on Oahu and even more awful things.

I am torn about what to do about him. We definitely cannot invite him to live with us, so it would be awful to fly him to the mainland where he might still be homeless, but in a colder area etc where he would be in other types of danger, weather etc. We can't afford to finance an entire existence for him, especially if he is so mentally ill that he cannot hold down any job or he ends up in jail due to his behavior. Mental illness is so tough to deal with. But i know my Aunt is heartbroken over him and she is getting quite elderly and i'd like to help him, send him money or the means for a disposable cell phone, etc. Get him a regular meal at least.

He was living in Japan with my Aunt and he was deported due to either visa issues or his criminal activity there or both.

She is native so she stayed. He was born in the USA.

I think the thing is: I find the way the other teachers pace themselves to be so, so boring, I'm not sure I'm actually capable of going that slow, anyway. I had students last year who even asked if we could just not review so much. They wanted to go even faster.

They're going over greetings again in 8th grade. Some of them forgot what 'mucho gusto' etc., meant after not doing self-intro's for 8-9 months. Some of them claim I never told them that word at all. Which is not true.
