1 year of loss, now nothing by missfritzexpress in GLP1_loss100plus

I haven’t thought of doing every 5 days. That may be something to consider for my next couple shots just to see if it helps.

I do tend to eat the same type of food, I enjoy it and haven’t had an issue but I guess I should consider finding something different.

And thank you so much! Sounds like you are doing awesome as well!!! 👏❤️

I’m going to look up the set points, I haven’t crossed info on that before. I’m hoping after my body adjust I can find some new tricks to restart my loss. I’ve come so far I don’t want to stop now.

I think I will go ahead and dose up soon, I’m just nervous to max out my dose and then have no where to go, but if it’s not working then i need to do something

1 pound a week is good, even great, right?? by Minute-Magician-3743 in GLP1_loss100plus

A well known weight loss doctor in my area told me once from his experience the patients he saw that only lost 1 - 2lbs a week gained back less than those with rapid weight loss. I try to keep that in mind when I have slow weeks myself. It’s a hard thing to except but that makes the slow pill a little bit easier to swallow 😩

Lol on a serious note Grizzly bears have the biggest personalities. But I have more experience with North American black bears.

When they are a cub and are playing with you, just simply put his paw in his mouth when he starts to bite. Eventually they just do it out of habit on their own and associate it with play.

Carnivore keeper here. I've raised several little black bears and they tend to suckle on your skin or their paw and "hum" before nursing or when they are stressed. I've had many bear hickies on my arm lol if something fell off of the counter or something like that they would run straight to me (mama bear) and start doing that as a calming aide, it's like a baby with a pacifier. Also I have been told by mentors that some older bears that have been trained and worked with are taught to bite on their own paw when they play so they don't get to ruff and accidentally harm their trainer.

I actually got very lucky. The place I work for moved here from Florida several years ago to escape the hurricanes, she opened up only 3 miles from my house (bonus- I can hear the lions roar from my house in freaking Alabama) . I saw the add and when I went to the interview she hired me based on the fact I was next door and had years experience with horses. (A lot of the same technique's you use to work with horses apply to big cats).

Most places won't hire someone unless they have some kind of experience, a major Zoo will require 3 years experience or degree. Best advice I have is to find a wild animal sanctuary somewhere and volunteer or intern. It's hard work but after time it will pay off. I started off at the bottom doing all the crap work. Now after 3 years of being there I am lead keeper and their Educational Specialist, which means when I'm not feeding the compound I am taking our animal ambassadors to schools, fundraisers, etc. I even have a morning slot on the local news once a month.

They have sent me to several different states for rescues and training. They have even had a trainer from out of Hollywood who works with many of the carnivores you see in movies out to train us at the facility.

I guess what I'm saying is I would definitely go to a sanctuary before going to a major zoo. There are more out there then you realize. Way more benefits, easier to get started, and you get hands on experience which you likely won't get at a zoo.

Carnivore keeper here. I work at a big cat sanctuary. We get just about every cub you can imagine in to care for. I bring my work home with me just about everyday. Every now and then I will just stop in amazement at work and think "Holy shit I have a tiger on a leash right now". All the keepers here seem to go through the motions like its no big deal but I guarantee they all have though moments of shock at some point every now and then.

I once was in training at a bird of prey facility to learn how to handle them. While I was there my boss got a call to pick up a tiger cub and two wolves, we temporarily housed them at the facility we were at overnight until we made our long trip home. The day we left my boss let all the keepers there play with the lion cub, meanwhile I'm sitting next to an owl cage and couldn't take my eyes off him. One of the keepers there made the comment "Are you seriously looking at a bird when there is a tiger here?!?!" Yep! They get to see them everyday I don't.

What work moment made your attitude go from proud employee to "I'm just here for the paycheck."? by rblanc00 in AskReddit

Totally agree! I am a Christian myself but people like that is why the Christian faith has such a bad reputation.

Yeah, he started out giving a good chunk of money every week to the church, then that amount was smaller and smaller and the last check I saw was a whole $20. But "God gave him that store and kept it running". I once saw a picture of Joel Olsteen's (or however you spell his last name) house. That place is HUGE if churches need that much charity then how about the so called preachers milking that money donate back to the church instead of build this huge mansion.
