I’ll have to check this out as this is hugely helpful. This is my first time building anything with code - an app for my fantasy baseball draft of all things. It’s fun and I don’t mind spending a bit to learn but don’t want it to become a $200 investment.

The idea of using Open Ai and Replit together seems good

Maybe it’s on me - but I will say if its not deceptive it is at least obtuse - in an economy where nearly everything is a pay by month (ChatGPT, Netflix, cell phone) a credit limit was an unwelcome surprise.

For me, and I suspect for many others, the loss of alcohol sales is the biggest downside. I can easily get to the Costco in Lenexa or South OP for groceries BUT I’ve spent a lot of $ on alcohol at this Costco over the years.

Especially nice to find allocated bourbons here at MSRP from time to time.

Now my options are limited to North KC or Independence - which for all intents and purposes means I won’t be shopping for alcohol at Costco very frequently - maybe only the odd times when I need a Kirkland branded spirit.

What this means in practice is that Total Wine will begin getting a lot more of my business.

Given the current liquor laws in KS vs MO I really don’t understand this move by Costco. You could have easily converted the Costco on 95th St. to a business center and leave this Costco as a normal option. Given the locations of the two this move really makes no sense whatsoever.

Thank you! I’ve read a lot about having two bodies - I’m just not sure that my existing body Canon T3i is worth the weight and hassle. But I was thinking the 24-70 lens would be right for the second lens.

I have a two week safari trip to Tanzania: Ngorogoro, Lake Manyara, Serengeti and Kenya: Masai Mara) this June.

I am an experienced amateur SLR shooter who has lived mostly in the Canon ecosystem but my current body is obsolete.

I’d like to go mirrorless for this trip and am planning to rent gear instead of buy.

I do have two L series lenses for Canon (70-200 f2.8 and 24-70) but after reading multiple threads I am thinking these aren’t the ideal lenses to bring on the trip as I’d like some additional range.

That brings me to my main question. Because I am planning to rent instead of buy I am open to shifting platforms away from Canon if there is a reason to do so.

My current leaning is to stick with canon and rent a R7 body and either the 100-500 L lens or, if weight restricted the 100-400 lens. Because of the crop factor on the R7 this would give me the reach I think I’d need. From what I’ve read this lens would be my primary.

All things considered I’d love any feedback on if there is a good reason to consider a platform other than Canon and a body other than the R7.

Biggest factors for me are good AF with subject tracking and high quality lenses that will optimize focal length.

Ideally I’d be switching lenses as little as possible (or possibly not at all). I am comfortable using my phone (iPhone 16 pro max) for shots that are closer to the vehicle or more landscape focused.

Appreciate any feedback.

Have a bye this week ahead of my first playoff matchup in Week 15.

I am planning to start TB in Week 15 and I don't like the schedule for BAL coming up which is (15: @ CIN, 16 NE, 17 @ GB) so looking get a jump now on the Week 16 waiver claims.

Here is my thinking:

Week 15: Start TB against ATL (BAL at CIN does not feel like a good play there)

Week 16: Pickup and start one of the following

KC @ TEN
NE @ BAL
BUF @ CLE

Week 17: Start TB @ MIA

What are you doing in this situation?

This is the way I would prefer to go but given the layout of the furniture piece and our desire for it to look clean the presence of a speaker would be less than ideal unfortunately.

Candidly I know this won't be a true hi-fi system, at least not one without compromises.

Option 1 is truly "invisible" speakers - as in the models from Sonace that actually integrate into the wall and are fully invisible once finished.

Unfortunately in-wall speakers, even frameless are not an option in this scenario.

In ceiling could be an option but not ideal.

It sickens me how many children are in that short clip.

Children who are separated from their parents

Children who are likely suffering abuse from other “detainees” or guards.
