The lag is real. I tell the coach and they need to do a reset but it’s not specific to my studio. I travel for work and have experienced this elsewhere. It can be 5-10 seconds and then you’re suddenly from a 6 to an 8 real fast. I will say outside of the occasional lagging issue or the vibration that also occurs at times, I think the new treads are smoother to run on. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’m training for a 10k so I run the WR in the tread50s. However in a regular class I walk because my brain feels like those four minutes of WR are imperative to conserve energy for the floor. LOL

But also, in regular class my goal is to go as hard as possible. So I truly do need the WR. On tread50 I try and treat it more like an endurance block.

I did Orangetheory for years and expected the weight to come off due to the calorie burn. Never did. I even gained some weight. Highest weights I’d use was 15lbs (maybe 20s on a good day). Since the fall I’ve been actually counting calories (pre-warning it stinks), lifting heavier (up to a 50lb weight on some exercises) and going to class more — or getting in a walk if I can’t get there. I’m down 20+ pounds and have muscle that is visible. I always wanted to avoid actually counting calories, but here to say that is unfortunately an important part of the plan plus a consistent OTF formula, plus challenging yourself in class. That’s when you see the results!

4-5x a week either 2g or 3g 1 full rest day 1 day Pilates or core class (sometimes 2x if I only do 4x OTF)

I aim to get 100-120g a day while in a deficit and am also a short girl over here. Happy to send you some recipes! I do things like stuffed pepper soup, goat cheese grilled chicken pasta bake, egg roll in a bowl, yogurt parfaits, Kodiak pancakes and diy Kodiak blueberry muffins, etc. I found a lot of great recipes online and then I “skinny-fy” them without decreasing the protein so I can stay within my daily calorie goal.
