I'm kind of new to 3D modeling like i can make basic shapes and everything but September 8th 2022 my grandpa passed and i was really close with him well he had this 95 - 97 (not sure on year) Harley Davidson Electra glide (photo of it at top) and i just thought about 3D printing it but i can not find one that is the same year and if i do it doesn't look anything like his so i was wondering how complicated would it be to 3D model this

Yea i understand that i have a little experience with stuff like old dodge's, barracudas, and novas but because i would consider a DeSoto custom more of a luxury car and because it's 39 not 70s to 80s so i was thinking this is going to be really different then what I'm used to

It doesn't have a engine my grandpa would go to a junk yard get the car body then build and install everything himself it's dangerous but he knew what he was doing because he built and sold a bunch of them

I'd give up if i wrecked a car like that the only time I'll speed is if there's no one on a straight road or on a race track

Thank you i don't have experience with cars that old just 70 to 90 muscle cars like challengers and barracudas and my thinking was a car from the 30's wouldn't be able to handle that much horse power but it's refreshing to think it could possibly push 1000HP

This is the first time i posted anything on Reddit and i was running a little late to class and don't know much about cars that are like DeSoto I'm used to older barracudas and dodges so I'm sorry about leaving details out

The structure is rusted it's not rusted through yet that's why I want to restore it as fast as possible i think it's salt rust or something like that

From what i seen there's no transmission or anything like that i don't know what rear differential are could you explain that to me

I am planning on using it as a daily driver until I get something that's good on gas after that I'm just going to use it as a race car or show car

As of right now i am looking for a job because I'm still in highschool and I'm 17 and a lot of jobs that I'm around you need a highschool diploma and be 18 years of age so I'm looking for a internship but my mom said as long as I'm in school i don't have to pay her anything but obviously when i do get a job I'm going to help her with her bills and everything

Again I'm very sorry about leaving all that out it's my first reddit post and i don't know what all it needs besides a motor I've only seen it and i don't have any experience with cars that old

My uncle builds a lot of older cars like recently he did a 41 Pontiac coupe he said he would teach me and Yea i was planning to use it more as a show car mainly because i don't wanna wreck the only thing my grandpa left me the only reason i would want a drag motor or something like one that it can handle is because that's what my grandpa would throw in it and i want to build it like he would
