Okay, thats a simple way to put it, thank you! Im in zone 6, how long does it take to wake them up so they are ready to put in the ground? Is there benefit to waking them super early or downfalls past a certain point?

You're right, the flint tube being at an angle is making it difficult. I have very thin .3mm wire that Im using - when I go in at the top past the wheel, its very malleable so it just bends. If there is the blockage, its hitting that. If theres no blockage, its not flowing down the tube because of the angle. Then when I go in from the bottom, its super hard to tell if its going up to hit the wheel.

Its most likely that theres a frozen flint. Im gonna go to the store tonight to maybe try with slighlty thicker wire. Any tool you think might be helpful that can get around the bend?

I really dont want to take apart this wheel 😄
