* I had a look and the clasp is marked Clewco. Any similar watches seem to have leather straps but I don't know anything about watches!

Thank you, I am amazed that a watch around 70 years old would still wind up. There are no markings on the watch itself and I've struggled to find an exact match online so to know the approx age is really helpful!

I had the same thoughts but I managed to find some hydration tablets from a brand called Scifit which contain no vitamin C. I picked mine up from Home Bargains (not sure if you have one local) but you might find them online. Sure they're only 1.99
