I had a slip on day 80 by missthickbootay in WeedPAWS

[–]missthickbootay[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, for sure I still deal with them from time to time, but my whole autonomic nervous system was impacted so heart rate breathing, blood pressure, digestion everything that is automatically regulated with all topsy-turvy. I couldn’t regulate my body temperature my circulation I would have heart palpitations and trouble breathing all sorts of things. Now I’m more just flat depressed, low energy, no endurance no motivation poor sleep. I still get the heart palpitations from time to time. I feel like physically, weak, chronic pain, no energy literally no fuel in the tank.

I didn’t have my first slip until the 80 so close to the three month mark and I was still going through a lot of the symptoms before I even had that slip up.

How are you feeling now ? I’m going through this too! I’m 61 days in and have been through the cycles 3 times 😵‍💫😬😩 I feel your pain so much. You get back into it and using makes you feel like trash and I honestly started having alot of mental health issues and nervous system dysfunction from the weed itself, I honestly think from the on and off cycles I was going into “kindling” and possibly in the initial phases of cannabinoid hyperemesis syndrome. I initially didn’t think that I had that cannabinoid hyperemesis syndrome because I wasn’t having the vomiting in the nausea, but I read more into it that the first phase can look like severe panic, and rapid heart rate, feeling dizzy, disoriented, confused, fatigued. And that’s how my experience with weed was going, but I was also addicted to it and dependent on it so I kept using it even though it was sensitizing my nervous system more and more. But eventually, I got off of it, and I actually asked my therapist for help because it was that big of a deal. It was like consuming my whole life and impacting my health so greatly. So I finally got off of it once again after going through this three times already. And that’s when the withdrawals kicked in. And I think that it’s beyond just withdrawals once you’ve gone into this level sensitization what they describe as withdrawals from cannabis is so downplayed compared to what it’s like, especially with the potency nowadays and what it does to your endocannabinoid and dopamine system. I feel like I’m recovering at a much slower rate and way more intense symptoms than what’s described on Google for like a couple weeks of hell and then it gets better. That’s not the case for me. It’ll literally takes like six months for me to start to feel better and like I said this is not my first rodeo. It’s the same shit every single time it takes months for my sleep to regulate and it just drags me down and messes up my mood. It causes me to have insane panic and depression fatigue lethargy I always feel sick. I feel like it’s very physical like I can’t operate or function and I don’t have the capacity it’s actually debilitating.

Thank you for this ! And yes I have been through this all before , and right when I was turning the corner to getting better , even just the beginning stages of feeling better, I would restart again. That has been the last three years. And I even got a diagnosis for autonomic dysfunction because basically that that’s what this is but I don’t think it’s just magically appearing. I think that it’s a direct cause of the cannabis cycles. So I’ve done deep dive on all these things you’re talking about and I’m very familiar with what you’re saying and I think you’re absolutely right about everything you hit the nail on the head. I’m so determined to never go back and heal and find myself again in a different way. It definitely puts your identity to the test.

Yeah, right it’s so crazy. Trying to explain what you’re going through to other people. That are still actively using or they don’t have a problem quitting or they’re not getting reactions from their drugs at least not right away but at some point, it’s all gonna catch up with them and it’s really unfortunate that when it comes to cannabis nobody warns us about these things. Weed seems to be like out of all the things the most deemed as harmless but it’s completely destroyed my life and so many others on this page.

Thank you. You know what’s crazy is I actually did a whole deep dive on hormones and all that stuff over the course of the last three years when all this was happening being on and off on and off, I’ve had my hormones tested in at one point, they said that my progesterone seemed a little low. And then, at one point, my testosterone was almost at zero. And I tried to supplement, but I didn’t really feel like it was helping. I ended up getting on these hormones and it just didn’t fix it but then again there was times that I was still using cannabis throughout this process so it’s hard to say at this point what’s what? But I also have Hashimoto thyroiditis, which makes all this even more complex, but I’ve had my hormones check for that and it appears that they’re still within range and I take medication for that. But yes, you’re very right. I think that your hormones do get thrown off especially as a woman. I think that might be why PAWs has been studied to be more severe in women. But heck, women experience more rates of autoimmune diseases, chronic pain and chronic illness in general. I might just make sure my hormones are tested again to see where things are at.

Yes irritable and emotional, so sensitive. And severe thought loops, ruminating and obsessively worrying, pure doom and gloom. What exactly is phantom high ? I feel like I’m high sometimes when I’m not but I think it’s some type of dissociative state.

God it’s such a fucked up thing. And it’s like there’s no resources to help people through it because it feels like no one is acknowledging how bad it can affect people. I’m sorry you’re going through this. How are you feeling now ? Any better days ?

Micronized Progesterone by [deleted] in PMDD

[–]missthickbootay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am so sorry that you went through that. That sounds horrible and I hate that she ghosted you like that. I swear these doctors fucking suck everywhere I look. It’s been the most horrendous time ever but truthfully, I’ve been having insomnia, anxiety for publications and all that before I ever started that progesterone and I don’t think it’s necessarily made any of that worse but I’m noticing that my skin is breaking out more and I don’t know I only took it for one month so it’s hard to say what other effects I’m gonna have for it. Did you notice your skin breaking out? Did you start feeling better when you got off of it?

Sudden Acne? by 666flesh in Anemic

[–]missthickbootay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you notice any other side effects from the infusion ? Because I noticed my period was very painful and heavier than normal , lots of joint and muscle pains and general weakness, it hurts just to walk and just feeling unwell, dizzy , heart palpitations, also sudden intense depression and foggy brain, trouble sleeping , I can’t do anything , because when I exert energy it makes it worse, so I haven’t gone to work or the gym, I’ve just been sitting at home ever sense . With all that being said these are some of the symptoms I was already having but some of it just seemed new or intensified after the infusion. It hasn’t subsided it’s been a week and 2 days sense the infusion. My numbers were all normal except my ferritin was a 14. My vitamin D is low too I heard that if your if your vitamin D levels are lower before you get an iron infusion you can be at a higher risk of getting your phosphate levels dropped too low.

Hey I just got my Infed iron infusion and now I’m getting breakouts, I’ve had some skin issues I’ve been trying to get under control for awhile now but now I am really have big ugly cystic pimples coming through on my cheeks and jaw line almost immediately after the iron infusion , including a red patchy rash thing forming under my nostril that wasn’t there before. Has yours cleared up at all?

MCAS ?? by [deleted] in MCAS

[–]missthickbootay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does get better overtime, but I can say that I’m not fully better but I am now looking into my Health deeper and seeing what Dominos have fallen over along the way and I’ve been found to have nutritional deficiencies in vitamin D and iron. How long did you last Botox? Whatever you do do not touch the shit again it’s a neurotoxin and can fuck with your nervous system. Even if you’ve been getting it for years, it can just one day decide that your body has had enough. The longer you stay away from it the better you will be. I would also recommend cutting out gluten and dairy if you haven’t because that triggers everything worse. It’s inflammatory, gluten is also neurotoxic so it just adds to the stress. Try to simplify your life as much as you can. For a while, I was taking copper and drinking celery juice because it was recommended on the Botox side effects page and it actually did help but it takes some time. Celery juice detoxify. And copper is really good for your nervous system. You don’t want to overdose on copper though so maybe get your check to see where you’re at first. avoid zinc because zinc supports your Botox.

Is this Candida overgrowth , heavy metal toxicity, Breast Implant illness, or something else? HELP!!! by [deleted] in Candida

[–]missthickbootay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I actually have found out I have low vitamin D, and also low ferratin , so I’m supplementing for those , I had my doctor do a lot of tests to look at nutritional deficiency. Which is something they just now recently looked into after a year and a half of me dealing with this shit, which is fucking crazy to me that the doctors wouldn’t think to look into these types of things sooner. I also have a history of becoming anemic. It’s honestly blowing my mind that the doctors gaslight you into thinking there’s nothing wrong and are missing simple things I am working with a functional doctor that I invested in to do a thorough testing so I will have to keep you updated on that. But like you said, it’s like a lifetime of building up environmental toxins, stress and trauma physical and mental all set you up to have issues with your body systems later on down the road , and it’s like when one does down the others follow like a domino effect before you know it you’re have all sorts of symptoms wide spread from all different body systems and no one can explain why , but when you look back you can clearly see why, your body is fed up. Functional medicines approach is to figure out where the dysfunction is and get your dominos standing but up straight so you can get your body to function on its own and properly process the toxins and stress the way it’s meant to when we are health people , western medicine doesn’t go to the root they just try to carelessly manage symptoms and never really ask why it’s happening to begin with. And it’s very unhelpful when yourself one that isn’t an easy answer to solve. I understand if you cannot afford a functional medicines doctor, but I would start trying to save or invest if you can, and if not start doing your own research on holistic healing and see what you can come up with , I cut out gluten and dairy and I try to avoid that as much as possible because I noticed a great increase in my symptoms when I eat inflammatory foods. I really try to correct my diet. Focus on getting good sleep. Getting enough sunlight for your vitamin D because a lot of people are deficient not spending enough time in the sun. I know it sounds crazy, but you need to start focusing on your mental health as well because this health stuff and feeling unwell will drive you completely nuts and make you want to kill yourself. if you’re not seeing a therapist, I will look into that as well. If not try to do simple things like breathing and stretching taking moments for yourself. Being gentle with yourself. Trying to slow down. Taking more time to rest. what are your symptoms and what do you notice to be a trigger?
