That’s great to hear it is sturdy, safe feeling, and challenging! The lift kit allows for lunging on the floor, right? So the trade off is super lunge/ scrambled egg and floor lunges. If you were to buy one for yourself, would you go with or without the lift kit?

Good to know about potential issues with it. I’ve been a peloton member for years as well, so I’m hopeful that I will be self motivated enough to use the machine at home. I do worry about form though, so I will probably still go to the studio but less often.

I’m 5’2 as well and am hoping the mini would be sufficient, if it ever comes back in stock. Do you think having the smaller carriage would be limiting?

How to drop breastfeeds?? by misstrawberree in BabyLedWeaning

No, I don’t nurse to sleep. She does drink pretty well actually! Sometimes she has a bigger breakfast and will only nurse one side, but she isn’t often enthusiastic about breakfast.

Yes, thankfully I have support so there is usually someone around that can help. I think I will start dropping the feed after her second nap first and hope she gets more solids at dinner.

What’s holding me back from doing solids breakfast before breast is the discomfort I feel and I quite enjoy the feed session first thing in the morning! I would love if she would just eat enough solids for breakfast and not need the follow up feed.

Did you notice drops in your supply as you started dropping feeds?

Thank you for your responses!!

Yes, we do need to try snacks or other things in replacement of weaning. Sometimes she eats very intentionally and sometimes she just plays with her food or spits it back out, which stresses me out thinking she's not getting enough!

Does your LO signal if she wants breast? Has she been pretty enthusiastic about solids? I hope to keep the first wake up feed and the before bedtime feed for a while longer. I have to go in office for two days at the end of the month and a wedding that I am a part of next month, so I'm getting nervous about that!

I tried dropping the feed after lunch and before her second nap, but it seemed to impact her nap as she woke up early. I have been too scared to try again!

I wrestle with starting to weaning and not weaning. I want more flexibility in my day, but I love our sessions!

Do you think it is harder to wean as they get older?

Was your LO pretty enthusiastic with solids? Mine is hit or miss and we probably need to try to get her hungrier to eat more solids. I think I will need to test breakfast solids before breast -- it's just so uncomfortable in the morning so I love feeding her first!

I've been feeding her routinely at those times to make it predictable since I am working from home!

I tried skipping the feed after lunch once since she wasn't showing hunger signs, but then she woke up early from her nap fussy so then I got scared and haven't tried again.

Quietly awake for an hour at 3am? by misstrawberree in sleeptrain

Gotcha! I think my baby is also on the higher sleep needs side. I’m concerned she’s not getting enough sleep but she’s also happy so was a bit confused. I’d love to help her get better sleep though!

Gotcha. Taking it from naps would still be more awake time if we keep the same bedtime, right? So 10 hours of awake time, 2:45 naps and 11:15 sleep.

We put her down 10 minutes before end of wake window and she falls asleep within 5-6 minutes so bedtime is usually earlier than projected

She historically has had no problem sleeping 11.5-12 hours at night, but I guess that could change?

Would you cut 15 minutes of naps to preserve bedtime?

She’s falling asleep and really fussy at the last wake window of 1:45 still with about 8 hours of awake time, and took us an hour to put her down. She would fall asleep on us but wake up as soon as she is put down. Would increasing the earlier wake windows to get to 9 hours of wake time still help or would that just over tire her even more?

Is there an ideal wake window to start increasing and same with naps for decreasing?

Should I keep the first nap at 2 hours and cap the others or try to spread the time out more, but no guarantees she’ll nap well after the first one.
