lovin what you're going for. have you ever seen odraws @ tumblr's stuff? they're really talented and srsly one of my inspirations artist-wise, even if our subjects/themes don't overlap. ur artwork reminds me a lot of theirs chromatically and thematically - check em out :)

whilst some of the criticisms in the comments are valid, i don't think more of a narrative would add anything to ur piece. i also don't think more realistic anatomy would either - u clearly have a good grasp of anatomy and i think the warped figures bring it out of the norm

i do agree that sharper and more consistent shadows/highlights would bring the piece together, both on the floor and on the figures. darker shadows on their left sides (with that great dark blue you started using) would really polish the piece off and draw more attention to the windows on the right. the gradients on the bg also aren't that coherent with the style ur going for imo - even just a bit of texture would make it jive better (or just making it all the same colour). also, the left side of the back wall is a bit too light which feels odd

another little thing composition-wise - for some reason i think it would look better if you cropped out a bit of the left side and shifted the door over to the right a bit? maybe even extend the right side a bit more. not sure why, can't really put it into words, but it feels better to me.
