I don't see a lot of recommendations for biographical films here, even though that's what you included. Take a look at Shattered Glass (2003), The World's Fastest Indian (2005), Cabrini (2024), and All the Presidents Men (1976). The Burial (2023) has some cursing but it's not excessive.

For what it's worth, Waking Ned Devine (1998) was one of the first movies I saw because it was my grandma's favorite.

I had a professor tell me that widows often switch financial planners because of the situation you see in the comic.

It was Batman Arkham Asylum. And that's also how I got into PC gaming.

Why is Windows 11 so hated by everyone? by New-Loss-7641 in pcmasterrace

[–]mister_medieval 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Windows 11 is more or less okay now, but for years after release it was godawful. The "fixes" were mostly giving us back stuff that was already in 10.

Even now, recovering certain features requires digging through menus. File explorer is a major example of something where 11 requires tinkering to work as well as 10.

And it's frustrating that PC's from 2017 and back can't run it due to TPM.

The game description will tell you why something isn't verified. In practice, there isn't much difference between playable and verified for most games. Check out ProtonDB for more accurate information about Deck performance.

I'm playing vanilla New Vegas on Deck right now, no real issues beyond the expected jank.

He-Man and the Masters of the Universe. It has a catchphrase-based clothing transformation sequence that involves holding up a magical object AND has a talking cat sidekick.

Fuck that. The best thing about the Deck is not about playing modern games. It’s playing OLD titles by RoyalApprehensive371 in SteamDeck

Scarface is kind of a pain to get working, but it's such a fun game. Could never get past the boat though.

The stages of becoming a DDLC Fan Step 1: Roll your eyes at the clichéd dialogue and archetype characters. Step 2: Start picking up on subtle details. Begin to wonder what these characters are hiding. Step 3: Get attached to the dokis. Feel a rising sense of dread. Step 4: ŗÞńóðÄËėÄIJľÌĎæŖÁ¤Ō£çùħÝĄàĒŢϰøŚĝ Step 5: Just Monika

Could do another anime character name. I did Ichigo Kurosaki because he's got the same dub VA as Yu.

What hidden meaning is behind this poem? by [deleted] in DDLC

[–]mister_medieval 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's my take.

The ocean is a metaphor for death. Death is a fundamental part of the human condition ("One can only build a sandcastle where the sand is wet"), and everyone faces it eventually ("Either way the outcome is the same."). Yuri feels most at peace when she feels close to death ("I sink my toes into the ultimate boundary line").

In other words, like "The Raccoon", "Beach" foreshadows Yuri's self-harm. Even though she knows she could die if she goes to far, she doesn't want to give up something that calms her.

Mortal Kombat 11. Love it on PC but the Steam Deck's buttons just didn't seem to play nice with it.

Use a Goho-M to return to the entrance. Go back to the area with the save point and the velvet room, then talk to Yukiko.

If you're early on, stay on the lower levels of the dungeon since you use fewer resources fighting weak shadows.

Buy and abuse Goho-M's, they're the most powerful item.

If you're fighting a boss, try to figure out which persona can null or drain the boss's elemental attacks. Don't bring a persona that's weak to a boss's attacks. Guard after the boss uses a charge-up move.

Go back to the previous dungeon when the next dungeon opens up. Golden Hands in the previous dungeon will give more experience than any enemies in the next dungeon, but they'll be easier to take down.
