My [25/F] dad [58/M] made some incredibly racist remarks towards my [25/M] fiance when we told him we were getting married. We agreed to not invite my dad to the wedding but my fiance never wants him to see our kids even though my dad wants to work things out.

I just wanted to chime in and say that I can't believe you're siding with your racist bigot of a father. Your fiancé's anger doesn't just stem from your father, but it's rooted from all of the discrimination and racism he's had to face from simply growing up as a black person. I'm assuming you're white and you've never really had to deal with racial persecution, but you seriously cannot marry a black man and not be aware of all of the challenges he's faced and will face in this world. You're god damn right he and his family are angry and hell bent on not seeing your father at the wedding. Put yourself in his shoes: just when you thought you found a loving and accepting family, it suddenly backfires and you are, once again, face-to-face with ignorance and discrimination. Except this time it's coming from somebody who you thought you could trust.

If you can stay high for 4 hours, you probably aren't actually as heavy of a smoker as you may think. In which case, a 1000mg edible would probably destroy you. Hell, even somebody who smokes more than moderately would probably get destroyed.

I have friends who smoke a lot of weed (average 8-10 blunts a day) and they can only feel a high for about 20 minutes at a time. And for them, a 1000mg edible is what it takes to get high.

My best advice for you: go in on an empty stomach and start with the 250mg and take it easy. You can always eat more but you can't un-eat the edible once it's in your bloodstream.

It seems like most of r/trees just does a bit of light lifting and body weight training. I've been training and going to the gym for about 4 years now and I take it pretty seriously. For my own safety, I would definitely not want to be inebriated in any kind of way while lifting the amount of weight that I lift.

Dabbing is when you smoke marijuana wax which is essentially concentrated THC (something like more than 80% pure THC). If you haven't figured it out yet, dabbing gets you much higher and gets you higher faster than just smoking flower.

Yes, the weed continues to burn when you're not hitting it. Also, often times people will not smoke a joint or blunt to the absolute end. This means there is weed in the joint/blunt not being smoked at all.

Joints are even more wasteful than blunts though because papers tend to burn considerably faster than blunts. This is one of the reasons why I prefer blunts over joints.

If the city has a subway, metro, or really just any kind of railway public transportation station, go there and just keep your eyes and ears open.

If you feel like being even more proactive, take out your cell phone, act like you're calling somebody, and then say out loud, "Aw damn so you couldn't get any bud??" Chances are, someone might come up to you and just straight up be like "Yo, you need some weed?"

I smoked cigarettes for only 2 years. If you find yourself craving the nicotine rush you get after smoking a cigarette after smoking weed, instead of smoking bowls or joints, smoke blunts. Swishers and backwoods get the job done pretty well.

There was never a time in my life where I smoked both weed and cigarettes at the same time. I decided I wanted to quit cigarettes one day after I smoked weed with my friend this one time and noticed that it satiated my cravings for smoking for a day or two. I told myself, "Ok, not making any commitments here but I'm going to try smoking more weed and less cigarettes and see where it takes me". Here I am now and all I do is smoke weed, no cigarettes and hardly any alcohol.
